`26.Sep.2001` Bob Scharp (E-Mail)	Veranstaltung: Keine Amiga-Show in St. Louis mehr Bob und Diana Scharp haben seit 1994 jedes Jahr in St. Louis eine große Amigashow veranstaltet und dafür einen Großteil ihrer Freizeit geopfert. Nun haben sie sich entschieden, ein Kind zu adoptieren, was natürlich ab nun oberste Priorität haben wird und zu der absolut nachvollziehbaren Entscheidung führte, keine Shows mehr zu organisieren. Box 672 Bridgeton, MO 63044 http://www.amiga-stl.com bscharp@icon-stl.net Fellow Amigans, Over the years, Amigan-St. Louis, (Bob & Diana Scharp), have brought you many years of Amiga fun and edification. Namely the Amiga shows we hosted in St. Louis, MO. U.S.A. Since early 1994, we have been involved with providing the Amiga community with some of the best Amiga shows ever put on. Eventually we formed our own company, Amigan-St. Louis, to run these shows as they got too big to handle with just volunteers. We have had many famous people and groups attend, exhibit, and showcase their products at our events. Some notable guests include a few Astronauts - Steve Nagel and Linda Godwin, a singing and dancing group - ANNEX, some celebrities - all of the various Amiga owners, presidents, staff. Notables such as Petro Tyschtschenko, Mitch Stone of Boycott Micro$oft, radio host Jim Singler, plus too many famous Amigans to mention. We have not only hosted shows, but held banquets that have become famous by themselves. Who would ever forget the reintroduction of Amiga with Gateway, or even better with Bill McEwen. Then there was the ROAST of Petro Tyschtschenko. We celebrated Petro's many years of service to the Amiga community and his retirement the day of the banquet at our show Amiga2001. That will live in our hearts for many years. Unfortunately, we cannot continue the shows for now. There will be no Amiga 2002© show, sponsored by us. The good news, is the reason why. Diana and I are adopting a child. Our lives will be even busier than usual this year and next, so we will have to pass the torch, at least for awhile, to others. Although we are not ruling out the possibility of a future show sponsored by us, we just can't possibly do any for now. We hope you will understand. We hope you will keep the Amiga in your hearts. Hey, we hope to see some of you at other shows and events. Maybe we will be able to bring our newest Amigan with us. So for now, we bid farewell to the show side of our business, but please consider purchasing some of our latest products from our company. `25.Sep.2001` Harald Guttner (ANF)	Veranstaltung: 3. Computer-Party des AUC HB Am 17. und 18. November 2001 veranstaltet der Amiga-User-Club Bremen seine 3. Computer-Party. Hierzu sind User aller Computersysteme zur aktiven Teilnahme eingeladen. Wie jedes Jahr haben wir einen Spezial-Gast. Diesmal ist Herr Jürgen Haage dabei, um uns das neue AmigaOS XL vorzuführen. Weiterhin planen wir gerade Workshops rund um Linux, Videobearbeitung, Netzwerke und einiges mehr. Weiteres erfahren Sie auf unserer Homepage. Vorschläge für weitere Themen, auch andere Computersysteme betreffend, sind herzlich willkommen. Da wir nur eine begrenzte Anzahl Rechnerplätze bieten können, wird um Anmeldung gebeten. `23.Sep.2001` Der Vorstand (ANF)	Veranstaltung: Guru Meditation in Göda (Bautzen) vom 6.-7. Okt. Hallo User! Am 6. und 7. Oktober 2001 findet in Göda bei Bautzen zum 3. Mal das Usertreffen 'Guru Meditation' statt. Eingeladen sind alle Amiga- und Ex-Amiga-User. Die Guru-Meditation soll keine reine Amiga-Veranstaltung mehr sein. Es sind alle Betriebssysteme erwünscht. Eigene Rechner können (sollen) natürlich mitgebracht werden. Wir stellen eine Internet-Anbindung zur Verfügung, bitte vergesst die Netzwerkkabel und Hubs nicht. Stromkabel und Verteilerdosen wären auch ganz nützlich. Wer hier übernachten will, sollte seinen Schlafsack nicht vergessen. Für das leibliche Wohl ist natürlich gesorgt. `23.Sep.2001` Czech Amiga News	Veranstaltung: Pianeta Amiga 2001 In Empoli (Palazzo delle Esposizioni), Italien findet vom 21. bis zum 23. Oktober 2001 die fünfte Amiga-Verkaufsshow 'Pianeta Amiga 2001' statt. Samstag beginnt die Show um 10.00 Uhr und wird um 18.00 Uhr geschlossen, während am Sonntag bereits um 9.00 Uhr die Tore geöffnet werden. Es werden italienische und ausländische Hard- und Software-Entwickler als Aussteller anwesend sein. Der Eintritt kostet Lit 10.000. Empoli ist eine Stadt inmitten der schönen Toscana zwischen berühmten Städten wie Pisa, Siena und Florenz. (ps) [Meldung: 23.
