AROS-Distribution: Icaros Desktop 1.1.2
For the AROS-distribution Icaros Desktop (formerly knwon as "VmwAROS") another update is available which fixes some bugs, adds sone new applications (Protrekkr, DOSBOX, TinySID) and includes some other minor improvements. It is now also possible to install the update with the "LiveUpdater".

The update requires Icaros Desktop 1.1.1. In order to install the update it is recommended first to install the LiveUpdater 1.5.1 which then will automatically install Icaros 1.1.2. But there is also an update-CD as ISO-image. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Sam440ep: New drivers for Onboard-Sound
By order of Acube, Davy Wentzler develops the drivers for the onboard-sound of the Sam440ep (Flex or standard version). The first update fixes some problems:
  • The noise when starting to playback a sound
  • General noise issues resulting from the Aux/Video monitoring being turned on by default. You now don't need to run Mixer anymore to prevent these problems.

Additionally there is a new version of Mixer which now supports ARexx on the Sam440ep. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Lawsuit: Inception Group Real Estate sues Amiga Inc. (Update)
Apparently Inception Group, the former landlord of Amiga Washington (which renamed itself to Amino a while ago) has sued Amiga Inc (Delaware, formerly known as KMOS) four weeks ago. Amiga/Amino was sued by the Inception Group back in 2001 already (1, 2), two years later a second lawsuit was started (default judgement) and the inventory of the company's former offices was auctioned off.

Update: (06.07.2009, 15:30, cg)

The bill of indictment (PDF) is available now. Inception Group claims it has won a lawsuit against Amiga/Amino in November 2003, which resulted in Amiga/Amino owing Inception about 150,000 USD. Five years later, in November 2008, Amino, Amiga Delaware (fka KMOS) and Inception came to an agreement in which Amiga Delaware guaranteed to pay Amino's debts, which had grown to 235,000 USD by that time, until February 17th, 2009.

Inception states that it has not revieved any money to this day, which is why the company is now suing Amiga Delaware for breach of contract. (cg) (Translation: dr)
