power.org: reference platform for Linux server
A model for a reference system for a Linux server suitable for mass production, which is based on PowerPC has been available for members of the power.org initiative since the end of June. The reference platform is referred to as "Power Architecture Platform Reference (PAPR)".
The publishing of real hardware with a PPC 970 processor is planned for the third quarter of the year.

Print magazine: Total Amiga, issue 24
The latest issue of the English print magazine "Total Amiga" has been completed and is being printed. Themes of this issue are among other things:
- the second part of our extensive interview with Dave Haynie
- a fascinating insight into the world of Fractals in an interview with Elena Novaretti
- several long awaited products in for review this issue including Papyrus Office and Frying Pan
- an insight into the new Exec memory system from Thomas Frieden
- Steve Solie's tutorial on the versions of Make included in the OS 4 SDK
Due to rising circulation Total Amiga will in future comprise four coloured pages instead of two.

Emulator: PSP-UAE 0.51b
PSP-UAE is a porting of the popular Amiga emulator UAE on the handheld game console PSP by Sony. Changes since the last release:

Coldfire project: photos of the third prototype

Today a Native AmigaOS 4 version of the wizard.library is available. You can get the library for free from our download area. The new wizard.library works with 68k programmes under the OS4 emulation as well as with future native wizard programmes.

Amiga Immortal 3 - Music from the Amiga legends
After over three-and-a-half years of development time, the long-expected third part of the Music CD series "Amiga Immortal" is finally available since the middle of June. Over 150 minutes of elaborately arranged music from various games for the Commodore Amiga are to be found on two CD's full to the brim.

C-Compiler: vbcc 0.8j Patch 1
There is a patch for the C-compiler vbcc written by von Volker Barthelmann (compiler-kernel) and Frank Wille (Amiga specific adapations):
- Due to an unnoticed problem by replacing PhxAss with vasmm68k in the build-process the _LVO symbols were no longer assembled and were missing in amiga.lib
The compiler supports AmigaOS 3/4, MorphOS, PowerUp and WarpOS and corresponds ISO-C which means ISO/IEC 9899:1989 as well as part of the newer standards ISO/IEC 9899:1999 (C99).
