On public demand: Download "Shanghai Dragon" AGA version On public demand Christian Rosentreter has published the AGA version of "Shanghai Dragon". Download: tksd.lha Please note that this version is not being further developed anymore, and is really not comparable to the coming CGX version. The AGA version only shows the framework, the CGX version will offer better graphics and a much enhanced functional range. Please also note that the AGA version cannot be redirected to gfx card screens properly, and also that there is no documentation available. There is a screen shot at the ZENZER-2dNOW-Forum. Further details (about the future CGX version) can be gleaned from the interview with Christian Rosentreter in AMIGA ARENA. You can also find some information about the planned game on the Amiga Future page. However, the CGX version will not be released "in a week" - this was a little misunderstanding. A release in late autumn is more probable. (ps) (Translation: cb) [News message: 02. Sep. 2002, 10:28] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] |

GPatch Version 3 completed The 68k version 3 of the patch system GPatch has finally been completed and put on Aminet. There have been many improvements over the previous version: New search algorithms, new coding methods, easier execution of the patch. And for those who don't know it yet: GPatch is the only program of its kind with the ability to combine any number of difference data in one patch file in order to automatically update different older versions of a program to the newest one. And - to demonstrate that the program is really worthy of a news item - the readme contains a comparison of different update variants of a real program (AWeb 3.2 and 3.3 to 3.4). Just briefly the result: The classic approach with scompare takes 1:28 minutes to create 277258 bytes (compressed), GCompare 3 on the other hand takes 0:59 minutes to create 163593 bytes.
