`05.Feb.2017` Amiga.org (Webseite)	Laser upgrade for Amiga mice (Update) Having been unsatisfied with the accuracy of his old Amiga 500 mouse, Jesús de la Torre developed a replacement board which turns the Amiga mice of Commodore and Amiga Technologies into optical mice with a resolution of (according to the retailer) 8500 dpi. An ADNS 9800 laser sensor is used that - together with a matching covering - replaces the original mouse. From March 22nd the laser upgrade is supposed to be commercially available. Update: (21:03, 05.02.17, snx) As the developer explains on request of amiga-news.de, the information about the Mouse's resolution is correct. There is not a direct conversion between the laser sensor and the Amiga mouse port, though. Instead, there is a PIC processor doing some calculations with the high resolution movements.
