The first coverage of the project appeared on amiga-news.de on 14 July 2005 ("Emulation: First Preview of the AmiKit Complete System"). The AmiKit Museum has now been set up as a thank you to Amikit's loyal fans. All Windows installers for the Workbench distribution - from AmiKit 1 to 11 - can be downloaded and tested free of charge, all fully functional. `01.Apr.2025` violet	Swedish demoscene recognised as UNESCO cultural heritage The demoscene has been acknowledged as an intangible cultural heritage in Sweden. This underlines the cultural significance of this digital art form, which has existed since the 1980s and includes an active community in Sweden with numerous demoparties and internationally recognised groups such as The Silents, Phenomena, Triad or Fairlight. This decision follows similar ones in other countries: in Finland, the demoscene was recognised as national intangible cultural heritage in 2020, and in Germany, it was included in the federal directory of intangible cultural heritage in 2021 (amiga-news.de reported). This means that the demoscene is also part of UNESCO's world cultural heritage. The Swedish "Institutet för språk och folkminnen" - a governmental organisation for the preservation of language and cultural heritage, comparable to a Ministry of Culture in other countries - announced the listing. `01.Apr.2025` John Brett	GUI for Greaseweazle tools: ADFDiskBox 2.2 ADFDiskBox is an application with a graphical user interface that serves as a comfortable frontend for the Greaseweazle V4 tools (reported). Developed in C#, the tool is aimed primarily at users who regularly work with Amiga-DOS disks. ADFDiskBox simplifies Amiga-DOS batch read and write operations (for ADF, 82-track ADF, SCP:Amiga-DOS and RawSCP). Devices and drives can be selected to easen the simultaneous use of multiple Greaseweazle devices. In the newly released version 2.2, developer John Brett has added the "Options" form to make the main GUI clearer. ADFDiskBox runs on Windows 10/11 (32-bit and 64-bit) and requires the.NET Framework 4.8. In addition to the executable program, the source code is also available for free download.
