Video interview with DeepMind founder: First AI program on Amiga
At the title link, a video interview was conducted with Demis Hassabis, the co-founder and CEO of the AI company DeepMind, which was later bought by Google.

After his start with a ZX Spectrum, he had, unlike his "merely" Atari-using friends, an Amiga, which he programmed in assembler and AMOS and on which he wrote his first AI program at the age of about twelve, an implementation of the game Reversi, in which he applied principles of chess computer programming.

Also mentioned is his later involvement in the Bullfrog game "Theme Park", to which economic simulation he contributed the behaviour of up to 2000 simulated figures of the theme park at the age of 16. He had programmed these as individual so-called "state machines", which independently satisfy their needs. (snx)
