The Unmasking of the AmiDock Easter Eggs in OS 3.9... :-)
Yes, maybe you weren't expecting it, but AmiDock contains a little surprise as well... :) For want of a shady character that might be used to reveal the activation code of the Easter eggs through rumors, I had to do it myself on my homepage... ;-)

If you are interested, just click on the title link. German speakers click here. (ps) (Translation: dm)

Testing Report: Radio Keyboard and Mouse on Amiga
When I attended the club meeting of AmCluSt early this month, I was impressed with the radio keyboard and mouse from Michael Göken. These were made possible through two components: The MMKeyboard-Adapter from Guido Mersmann and the PS/2 adapter building instructions (hard/hack/ps2m.lha) from Denis Sotchenko. Following these instructions Guido built me a PS/2 adapter in more than an hour of detailed work, so thanks again, sincerely! Whoever is interested in an MMKeyboard-Adapter from Guido Mersmann should send an email to him.

The opportunity to try out Tevion's radio-controlled keyboard and mouse came about because Aldi was offering it inexpensively. Both adapters worked perfectly on my Amiga 4000 T. It's very pleasant to have a table top free of coiled cables.

In any case the crux of the matter is the program MMKeyboard.lha by Guido Mersmann. It allows every key of the multimedia keyboard to be individually configured. Here is the official short description of the program:

MMKeyboard allows the use of Windows keyboards on Amiga. Beyond that, it makes it possible to start programs with the multimedia keys and much more. There are none of the driver problems as are found on the PC! A little Commodity activates all the "non-standard" keys on every keyboard! Even future keys will work! MMKeyboard also offers a real hardware password login with an optional, selectable Amiga skin, full reset handler compatibility, and many other configuration options.

All in all I find that these are very good and useful creations which allow me to write the news more easily :). (ps) (Translation: dm)

Amiforce (ANF)

Amiforce: Survey and PHP Orientation at Abakus Design
Current Survey
You'll find a survey on Amiforce, a survey which asks what should be tried for in the future. Whoever is interested may take part. Multiple choices are possible.

Abakus Design
The webpage of Abakus Design has been completely changed to PHP, so it should be easier to maintain these pages in the future. If you spot any errors, please let the Webmaster know.

Amiforce will be changed over shortly as well. It might take a little longer, because the website is bit bigger.

News about AMHuhn will soon follow. (ps) (Translation: dm)

Amiforce: Forum update / Abakus-Design: note
Forum update
Today the Amiforce forum was brought to a new version. The update was done within a few minutes and brought some positive side effects with it. The data base seemed to be fixed through the update and even the upload of avatars works without problems again. Furthermore there were some bugfixes with the update, an example given might be the possibility of a dial in without using cookies now. The forum can be used now with all features again. Who might detect a bug is pleased to report it.

Abakus-Design
Obviously some people seem to have a problem with offering us their name and email before the download of AMHuhn. We emphasize again that we will not give these data to anyone else but are collected by us internaly only. Nobody will receive adverts or anything else.

Unfortunately there were some really bad form mails received. To remember: AMHuhn is without any cost and we gain no profit with it. We are not sponsored by any advertising agency and spread no spam. AMHuhn and everything belonging with it took all our spare time and the webmaster recently had to pay real money, because the traffic limit was overridden. Thank all of you, who are caring.
