www.OnyxSoft.nu not available for some time
Due to a problem with the Internet provider the normal domain 'www.onyxsoft.nu' of OnyxSoft (Cathedral) will not be accessible for some time.

To fix this problem a site mirror was established available at http://onyxsoft.dhs.org/. (sd) (Translation: mj)

Amiga Arena: AmiATLAS, Bonds
Amiga Arena - Special Price Project
In cooperation with the AmiATLAS development team the Amiga Arena make possible a special price for AmiATLAS 6.

Until and including 20. October 2001 you can preorder AmiATLAS 6 at the special price of only 99,- DM stead of 109,- DM at the Amiga Arena.

Registering via the Amiga Arena can be done by filling in the survey form at the 'Aktionen' area .

Note: Owners of AmiATLAS 5 might have even cheaper update possibilities since negotiations were not finished, yet.

AmiATLAS - The Story continues
When the Amiga Arena made possible version 2.0 to be released for free further development of AmiATLAS was not really sure to be done.

Thanks to good cooperation of Adreas R. (Innovative Software Solutions) and the Amiga Arena it was possible to find Gerd F. to take the task of further development of AmiATLAS

The more I'm happy about the AmiATLAS development team to able to present version 6 before long.

By this I would like to make you aware that WE (developers, users meaning Amiga users!) with a bit personal initiative are able to move many a things.

Feedback of any kind is very important to all developers. This issue should not be underestimated.

The Amiga Arena wishes the AmiATLAs development team much success and hopes that the users will take this project.

Olaf K. - Amiga Arena

Amiga Arena - Special Price
The special price for Bonds is still valid thru 31. October 2001. (sd) (Translation: mj)

Michael Burkhardt: Farewell to Hof
Michael Burkhardt, known to many Amiga users by his company IOM Messefilme and the Amiga controlled video wall on exhibitions, wrote:

» Dear friends,
now it is official: I change from my lackluster autonomy to an employment.

Already on Monday I'll move to Berlin 300 km from here, take a furnished apartment and work for the D.A.V.I.D. GmbH from Tuesday on.

This decision was a hard step for me and required a great effort. Especially the last months when a management consultant was helpfully by my side showed that it would be much better to live and work in a real Media town.

But to move my company would never have been to put through. I never would have taken this enormous risk. The more happy I was to have found a job now in the media industry.

At the D.A.V.I.D. GmbH I'll ensure as project engineer planning, technical support, and network installations for radio stations. This software house is specialized in applications for radio broadcasting. More details about the company can be found at www.david-gmbh.de.

I would like to thank all those who have helped me in my period of autonomy. Of course the company IOM will continue to exist, but I personally won't have the chance to deal with the management as my new job requires 100% of my time.

Particularly during the beginning it will become very stressful and it likely will be hard to contact me. Of course my e-mail address, my mobile phone number (0171-3296371), and my ICQ will remain the same, but surely I won't be able to answer immediately in the beginning, however.

In any case thanks to all people who always supported me in continuing my company. Of course I'm at your disposal for questions during this weekend.

Best regards,
Michael Burkhardt

Mailbox: Stardate-bbs temporarily not accessible via Internet
Because of massive DSL problems is the Stardate bbs (Amiga mailbox for more than 10 years) for the time being not accessible via Internet. All Pollboxes/Points may please move over to the modem/ISDN dial in. The Telekom is working on the problem.

The popular Dynamite server stardate.2y.net is affected by this, too. (ps) (Translation: wk)

playamiga.de: new column
The October is here. As in every new month we have a new column, "Quo Vadis, Amiga?". In the charts there have been not many changes as the participation last month was relatively weak. Please participate as you have in the beginning. THANK YOU. (ps) (Translation: wk)
