`08.May.2004` amigaworld.net (Website)	Amiga Java: Status report from "JAmiga" The JAmiga project has released a short status report: "JAmiga status report May 2004 it's been a long time since our last status report and things have become very quiet around JAmiga. However, a lot of work was done in the background. We have meanwhile ported JAmiga so that it can be compiled with gcc which will open up chances to compile it for other platforms. While being a major task, for most users no difference between the StormC and gcc version will be visible. We are planning to release a new version with the classpath 0.09 fairly soon, once all classpath-changes have been properly reflected within JAmiga. Eventually, you may be able to use a few AWT gadgets by then, but no promise about that :) New JAmiga Forum We now have our "own" Forum on www.jamiga.org which may be used for chitchat, discussions, requests, etc. First donation arrived Only a few days ago, we have received our first donation -100 EUR- wow. The known MP3 and Shoutcast player supports in the new version more formats and offers a new, modular extendable GUI system. The features: Loading, playing and saving of Shoutcast streams Flexible search tool for Shoutcast server External and inbuilt scopes Support of AMPlifier and AmigaAMP compatible plugins OpenURL support URLs can be inserted as IP and as DNS name Support of the XPK system for unpacking of XPK packed files 'on the fly' GUI modules: Classic ANR ANR NG WinAMP skins MUI Supported sound formats: MP3 OGG-Vorbis Audio CDs (CDDA) via AHI ProTracker AHX SoundMon Future Composer For a seamless use are MUI 3.8, NList.mcc, busy.mcc, render.library v30+, guigfx.library v19+, mpega.library v2+, OS3.x or MorphOS and AHI v4+ needed. Recommended, though, are: MorphOS/Pegasos PPC, Internet connection (128kbps or better), 8MB Fast-RAM, graphics card with CyberGraphX v5, MUI 3.9, xpkmaster.library v5.2 incl.
