Graphic card: Picasso II+ clone "Matzes-GraKa" available For quite some time, Matthias "Matze" Heinrichs has been working on clone of the Picasso II+. Now in the Kryoflux store such a graphic card can be bought. Matzes-Graka has the same performance like the original card - a Cirrus GD5434 graphic chip with 2 MB RAM is also used - but is "about 25% faster than a Picasso II+ in an A2000 with A2630 accelerator board". The card also can be used in an Amiga 500 - after soldering the expansion port connector. It has an integrated monitor switcher, which switches between Amiga and VGA signal. Matzes-GraKa consists of two parts (mainboard and slot sheet with VGA-port) which are connected with a flat ribbon cable. (cg) (Translation: dr) [News message: 09. AmigaOS 4: Free Pascal updated In 2004 Karoly 'Chain-Q' Balogh ported the compiler Free Pascal to MorphOS and two years later for the first time adapted it to AmigaOS 4. Based on Marcus 'ALB42' Sackrow's version of Free Pascal for AROS, MorphOS and AmigaOS 3.x he has adapted the latest version for AmigaOS 4. Completed by Marcus Sackrow the compiler now is available for all platforms. Karoly Balogh himself does not use the version for AmigaOS 4, therefore he asks all users to try it and give feedback. Level editor for Turrican 2 Dennis Meuwissen has developed a level editor for the Amiga classic Turrican II. The programm runs under Windows and requires the files of the CDTV version of Turrican II. So far not all elements of a level can be changed. You can get further information in the readme. In a Youtube video, Meuwissen plays the first level of the game which was changed with his editor.
