ACA 500: New prototype
In a post at a1k.org, Jens Schönfeld from Individual Computers has presented a new prototype of his announced Amiga 500-extension ACA 500. Compared with the version presented four weeks ago, now the board lies horizontally next to the computer.

This additional prototype has caused increased development costs which according to Schoenfeld is compensated by removing the high-grade steel cover.

The compatibility with the well-known Blizzard accelerator boards produced by Phase 5 has been improved as well: A Blizzard 1230-IV does now work properly although Individual Computers will not give any function guarantee for any of these boards.

For all those customers who are not going to install an A1200-extension on the ACA 500, maybe a version with 4 MB RAM will be offered. But this version would probably cots at least 30 Euro more than the standard model which is equipped with 2 MB. (cg) (Translation: dr)
