OGR-27: Distributed Amiga ranked 3rd
The Distributed Amiga team concludes the OGR-27 project ranked third out of 896 teams and with a team member as largest individual contributor (out of 19919 participants total). The team now continues with OGR-28, which is expected to last a similar amount of time (barring computing or participatory advances, around 5 years). (snx)

Tutorials: Roadshow on the Minimig/Turbo Chameleon 64
The "Turbo Chameleon 64" is a FPGA-based C64 accelerator board which can be also used in the stand-alone mode. On the board a RS-232-port can be upgraded as Amiga extension using the clockport.

Christian "Lallafa" Vogelsang shows in his English-language blog how he uses the clockport with the help of a simple hardware-mods for an emulated Amiga and how he integrates the computer with Roadshow and PPP into a home network. (cg) (Translation: dr)

AmigaOS 4: Programming competition for best Qt-ports finished
At the beginning of July, Alfkil Wennermark called for a competition: The programmer who developed or ported the most Qt-applications until 30th August will get an award of him.

Today Wennermark has published the winners:
  1. zzd10h - Award: a completely equipped Minmig
  2. spotUP - Competition Pro USB and a "special award"
  3. Chris Young - Competition Pro USB
  4. cha05e90 - AmigaOne coffee mug
