AROS x86: Update of ABI-v0 developer branch to version 20201110-2
In mid-February AROS developer Krzysztof 'deadwood' Śmiechowicz released version 20201110-1 of AROS ABIv0 for 32-bit systems (amiga-news.de reported). Today's second release contains some changes and bug fixes (release notes). (dr)

Game Construction Kit: RedPill 0.9.15
RedPill, developed by Carlos Peris, is a game construction kit written in Amiblitz 3.9, which allows the development of games from various genres (see short tests of two Redpill games). RedPill is compatible with AGA and ECS, the "player" for playing the finished creations requires a total of 1.5 MB RAM. Jens 'Farbfinsternis' Henschel has written a tutorial.
Among others the new version 0.9.15 offers sprite backgrounds with up to 8 different levels of parallax and a new FX layer for games with less than 256 (32 in ECS) colors (YouTube-Video). (dr)

Dock: QDock V1.17
Sami Vehmaa had released the first version of his start bar "QDock" almost two weeks ago (amiga-news.de reported). The new version 1.17, as the developer writes to us, "has gone trough a big transformation and is now working more like it was intended." A new YouTube video explains the changes: among other things, there is now a second row with space for another 25 icons. Likewise, drives can be added to the dock.
The tool is available for three Euros or more and is primarily intended for emulators or Apollo cards due to the high CPU requirements. It requires AmigaOS 3.2 (3.1 might work as well, but not tested), graphics board and 22 MB RAM. (dr)
