AmigaOS / MorphOS: Ask Me Up XXL 2.0.1
Version 2.0.1 of the commercial quiz game "Ask me Up" has been released. The game now has 1700 questions, all graphics are available in 1600x900 and are adapted to the currently used screen solution. Additionally, the graphic output now is hardware accelerated. The detailed changes:
- 1700 questions divided into 16 themes (Sport, People, Literature, Movies, ...)
- 16:9 display, HD drawings, designed for 1600x900, management from 1024x768 up to 1920x1080
- Use hardware acceleration (Composition mode)
- The Quiz to play alone with a progressive access to new questions based on performance; progress is represented by a map
- The Cup for challenging several friends simultaneously (up to six !, two at keyboard, four with joysticks/joypads) in 5 different rounds
- Numerous performance indicators: points, success rate, medals (yellow, orange or red), cups, ranks ("baby", "schoolchild", "student", "teacher" or "expert")
- Very detailed statistics (general, per player, theme, player and theme) and curve representing the evolution of the success rate of the 5 best players
- Questions in the form of texts, images or slides
- Management of mouse, keyboard (2 sets of keys), joystick and joypad
- Menu music and sound environment, including hilarious buzzers sounds!
- Available in French, English, Italian, German (41%), Spanish (47%), Swedish (31%), Portuguese (44%) and Greek (33%) - non translated questions in the language are displayed in English
- Dual display of measurement units (miles, yards, feet ...) if English language selected

Amiga-Emulator: FS-UAE 2.5.16dev
Frode Solheim's FS-UAE for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BSD is based on WinUAE and can be completely controlled with a joypad. Since the last stable version released in March (2.4.1), so far only developer versions have been released.
Changes in FS-UAE 2.5.16dev:
- Fixed legacy uaegfx_card option
- Make sure early configuration warning messages are displayed in GUI
- Fixed parsing of memory options
- Fixed infinite loop when more than one HDF/CD was used with UAE controller
- Fix for A1000 boot issue with full kickstart ROM
- Fixed patching of Cloanto A500/A4000 roms (broke in an earlier dev ver)
- Specify rpath for OS X executable (so plugins can find libs from fs-uae)
Known bugs:
- The PearPC fallback may not work properly. Please make sure you are using the qemu-uae plugin (check in fs-uae.log.txt that it is loaded properly) if you’re having problems
- AmigaOS 4.1 w/Picasso IV => sometimes weird frame rate (~36 FPS)
- When starting FS-UAE from FS-UAE Launcher, accelerator flashs ROM writes are not persistent because the launcher uses a new copy every time
- Booting CD32 with CD inserted works, but inserting later, or eject + re-insert does not seem to work right now

Workbench enhancement: BetterWB 3.8
Similar to AIAB, AmiKit or AmigaSYS, BetterWB is a collection of Workbench enhancements for AmigaOS 3.1, which are useful but rather simple and therefore require low hardware configuration. Changes in version 3.8:
- Charmap is a tool that helps dealing with all the characters of a given font
- Prepcard+ helps the user in managing other hardware on the PCMCIA port (Wifi, ethernet, modems and card readers)
- Ned is a commodity that lets you close the active window by pressing the "Esc" key
- Freewheel is a commodity that helps you in using the mouse wheel comfortably
- Updated HardWiz: phase5 68060.library to latest v46.15
- Updated icon.library to 46.4.385
- Updated pfs3aio to v2.3 (28-05-2014)
- HDToolBox is back (some users reported incompatibilities with HDinstTools)
- WhichAmiga now properly works with ACA accelerators (modrobert´s fix)
- EnvHandler is now offered as an option, and a warning message is displayed upon first install of BetterWB
- Tweaked Magic Menu Prefs: Pull-Down and Pop-Up menu usage is better than Smart Select (Thanks Retrofan)
- A few more minor fixes and tweaks

AROS: Reminding to canceled bounties
Under the title link, the bounty website Power2People has listed 63 projects. Four of them (6%) currently are in progress and 28 of them (44%) has been successfully completed.
On the other hand, there are 15 (24%) open projects and 16 (25%) canceled ones. For two of them, the AROS-port to the Efika board and the production of a MPC8610-mainboard, almost 1000 Euro has been donated. The donators can decide if they want to have the money paid back or if they want to donate it to a different project.

AROS: Port of version 1.23 of Odyssey web browser in progress
Currently Krzysztof 'Deadwood' Śmiechowicz is porting version 1.23 of the Webkit-based browser Odyssey developed by Fabien 'Fab' Coeurjoly to AROS. Version 1.16 was ported over two years ago but porting the latest version did not succeed due to missing support of certain MUI4-functionality of the AROS-reimplementation of MUI, called Zune.
The goal of the developer is to be able playing html-videos under AROS. An updated HTML-/JavaScript-engine has been already implemented. A first public version will be released together with version 2.0 of the AROS-distribution Icaros Desktop which is announced for mid-October/November. Users who support the this project are asked to donate money for the bounty project of Zune enhancement.

MorphOS: Epub-Reader 0.5
Version 0.5 of Carsten Siegner's Epub-Reader is still an alpha version, which among others now supports eBookMaps (screenshot). EPUB is a free and open e-book standard.
Changes:
- An SVG (scalable vector graphic) engine is now included
- Display of all versions of SVG (external file or embedded in the HTML source code)
- Better recognition of cover images
- Support of more HTML 4.01 styles
- Changed slider to scrollbar in the MUI GUI
- More default styles in the settings window
- Support of the keys (shift) cursor up / cursor down
- Scrollbar enabled to use with the mouse scroll wheel

MorphOS: Bounty project for Synergy-Server
In the MorphZone, on request Jacek 'jacaDcaps' Piszczek has offered to programm a Synergy-server for MorphOS if 300 Euro will be donated.

Paragon clone: Evaluation version of Catagon
After having released several ports, Szilárd 'BSzili' Biró is about to develop his first own Amiga game. Catagon (screenshot) is a clone of the LoadStar game Paragon which was written by Nick Peck for the C64.
Now a first evaluation version - due to a technical problem without music - was released as ADF-file.

Hollywood: AHX-Plugin
Press release: Chip attack! Airsoft Softwair is proud to present an AHX plugin for Hollywood. Once this plugin is installed, Hollywood will "automagically" be able to play these stylish AHX (Abyss Highest eXperience) and HivelyTracker modules. The plugin is based on HVL2WAV by Xeron/IRIS, source code is also included.
Additionally, there is a demo applet which demonstrates the playback of an AHX module. This applet can also be run using the freely available Hollywood Player so people who don't own the full version of Hollywood can check it out as well.
You can download the plugin from the official Hollywood portal. Thanks to Hollywood 5's cross-platform plug-in system versions for AmigaOS3 (Classic), AmigaOS3 (FPU), AmigaOS4, MorphOS, WarpOS, AROS (Intel), Linux (PowerPC), Linux (Intel), Mac OS (PowerPC), Mac OS (Intel), Windows and Google's Android platform are provided.

AROS: aylet-port with MUI-GUI
Miloslav Martinka has ported aylet to AROS/x86 and added a MUI-interface (screenshot). aylet is a player for music files of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128 in AY-format. Currently it only works on native AROS-installations.

All old Inutilis games re-released
Timo Kloss wrote: I started programming on a Commodore Amiga computer when I was 12 and I made quite a lot of little games and even some applications. I used AMOS Basic, which was a cool thing to develop multimedia stuff without knowing a lot. Until 1996 I used the name Scum Amiga Software.
I think I found all more or less important AMOS projects on my hard disk and prepared usable ADFs from them (Amiga Disk Files). You can download them on this site and use them with emulators like WinUAE or real Amiga computers. "Der Rasenmäher" is a really funny game, but don't expect too much from the rest. I was young!

Free Pascal 2.7.1 on trunk
Marcus Sackrow has updated the AROS/x86-port of the compiler Free Pascal. Thanks to Karoly Balogh's reactivation of the m68k-compiler and its merging of the basis implementation for AmigaOS, AROS and MorphOS, the latest version also is available for AmigaOS 3.1. An Amiga with 68020-processor and the ixemul.library of version 48 are required.

Amiga-Emulator: FS-UAE 2.5.13dev
Frode Solheim's FS-UAE for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BSD is based on WinUAE and can be completely controlled with a joypad. Since the last stable version released in March (2.4.1), so far only developer versions have been released.
Changes in FS-UAE 2.5.13dev:
- Updated emulation core from WinUAE 2900b14
- Harmonize CD IOCTL / image initialization with WinUAE
- Initial version of QEmu PPC CPU integration (not fully working yet)
- Removed –disable-cpuboard option to configure (no longer needed)
- Updated Picasso96 code, but old version is still used (needs more work)
- Add internal HRTMon rom to the rom list on startup
- Show GUI warning when some config incompatibilities are detected
- GUI warning when custom uae_ options fails or are not recognized
- Added more compiler warnings by default
- More code cleanup, especially in src/od-fs
- Merged several modules which were similar between FS-UAE and WinUAE

Creating installer scripts: InstallerGen 1.0
Using InstallerGen, developers can create installation scripts for the Commodore-installer. The programm has a MUI-interface. AmigaOS 3.0 as well as the MUI-class NList.mcc are required.

Internet-Radio / Podcast: Amiga Vibes plays scene music
Already in 2009, "Amiga Vibes" was founded. It is an Internet radio playing songs from the demo and warez scene. Additionally to a podcast, now also an audio stream is available twenty-four-seven.
On the website, the player is linked under "Radio" which requires Flash. The stream also can be played with some local players- the URL is listen.radionomy.com/amigavibes.m3u.

AROS Bounty for Qt-port
On power2people.org a bounty was established for the goal to port the C++ class library Qt to AROS.
The conditions of the bounty are complied with, if the modules QtCore, QtNetwork, QtGui, QtScript and QtXml were ported. Additionally the Qt-based Youtube-browser SMTube must be available in a working version.
Currently AROS does not support dynamic linking of libraries. Therefore the port may be a Static Library. Szilárd 'BSzili' Biró again agreed to undertake the bounty - but will start his work after finishing his college which could last still nine months.

Reworked automatic monitor switcher for Radeon graphic boards
André 'Ratte' Pfeiffer has reworked his automatic monitor switcher for Radeon graphic boards which he introduced three years ago. The hardware automatically changes between the signal of the monitor of an Indivision Mk2 (the CR-version is not supported) and the signal of the Radeon board.
In this new version now one slot fewer is used, besides this, it has the same features. The switcher is controlled with Pfeiffer's tool SwitchControl.

AmigaOS 4 / MorphOS / AROS: Odamex 0.7.0
Odamex is a free, cross-platform modification of the Doom engine, that combines the features of Boom with some additional enhancements: The widescreen format is supported, the mouse can be used ("mouselook") and the player can jump.
The port was provided by Szilárd 'BSzili' Biró. He wrote: "The update includes the new 32-bit renderer as well as an experimental server browser: ag-odalaunch. It has many issues (the file browser is horribly broken), but you shouldn't have problems connecting to servers. It uses my new pthreads implementation, which is still in its infancy, that can be another source of instability."
