Hyperion and A-EON announce strategic partnership
Press release Brussels, Belgium – February 20, 2010. Hyperion Entertainment CVBA and A-EON Technology CVBA announce strategic partnership.
Hyperion Entertainment and A-EON have entered into a strategic partnership to provide the Amiga community with a dedicated high-end PowerPC based platform for AmigaOS 4.x which aspires to be worthy of the Amiga hardware tradition going back to the original Amiga 1000 from Commodore.
The massively expandable AmigaOne X1000 (amiga-news.de reported) will inspire both current and former AmigaOS users and will also appeal to those looking to exploit the incredibly versatile onboard functionality offered by the unique "Software Defined Silicon" technology from XMOS which, in true Amiga tradition, provides the AmigaOne X1000 with a custom chipset of potentially unparalleled flexibility and scalability.
Software development by Hyperion to bring AmigaOS 4.1, the most advanced incarnation of AmigaOS ever, to the AmigaOne X1000 hardware has been ongoing for quite some time and is progressing very well.
More details about the AmigaOne X1000 hardware and housing will be forthcoming from A-EON Technology shortly. (snx)

PubTrivia originally was written for Google's handy operating system Android and is available for all Amiga systems. The author points out to "some minor problems" which have to be fixed.
LoView is a picture viewer with datatype support which also offers some simple picture editing functions. Additional to the AmigaOS 4-version the Aminet provides further ports of version 1.5.

USB-Stack: Poseidon 4.4 for Subway, Highway, Algor and Deneb
For owners of the E3B-products Subway, Highway, Algor and Deneb an update of the USB-stack Poseidon written by Chris Hodges was published. It can be downloaded under the title link.
The upgrade to version 4.4 is for free. If you want to support the work of the author you can send him a present of his Amazon-wish list (DE, UK).
Changes:
- New RTL8150 Ethernet adapter class (commissioned)
- A lot less interrupt load on Highway and Subway with Ethernet adapters
and other devices constantly NAK'ing on input data
- Bugfix in massstorage.class regarding the broken geometry with simple
SCSI enabled
- HID class now knows the names of the touchscreen extension items (no
default actions though, because I don't have one here to test)
