Hallo Thomas,

lang, lang ist es her, seit ich den letzten Beitrag zu dem Thema geschrieben habe. Aber ich habe mal wieder ein paar Probleme und Fragen dazu.

Ich habe inzwischen alle Partitionen auf der besagten IDE-Platte auf PFS3 umgestellt. Außerdem habe ich die Platte am interen IDE-Port angeschlossen und nicht mehr über den Adapter am SCSI.

Soweit hat auch alles prima geklappt.

Jetzt habe ich aber folgendes Problem:
1. Wenn den Amiga starte findert er manchmal (öffters) die Partition "Prog:" nicht.
Wenn ich in dem Hinweisfenster auf "Nochmal versuchen" auswähle findet er die Partition trotzdem nicht. Wenn ich mehrmals "Abbrechen" auswähle stürtzt der Amiga ab.
Das seltsame ist, dass ich aber die Partition auf der Workbench sehen und öffnen kann. Alle Dateien darin sind sichtbar.

2. Ich habe für ScanQuix eine ICS-Korrektur installiert. Wenn ich nun scanne, will ICS auf diverse Dateien zugreifen. Aber es erscheint die Meldung, dass die Dateien nicht gefunden werden können.
Aber ich kann die Dateien sehen, ich kann diese auch in den Prefs von ICS auswählen. Trotzdem findet ICS die Dateien nicht.
Es kommt irgendwann auch der Hinweis, dass das Laufwerk nicht vorhanden oder nicht richtig angemeldet ist.


Hast Du eine Idee, woran das liegen kann?

Du hast mir mal gesagt, dass ich IDEFix installiert habe und eigentlich nicht brauche. Wie kann ich IDEFix denn wieder deinstallieren?
Woran erkenne ich überhaupt, dass IDEFix installier ist?
Welche Dateien gehören denn dazu und können entfernt werden?

Du kannst einfach gucken, was bei IDEFix für Daten dabei sind und dann abgleichen. Oder du instalierst IDEFix "scheinbar" als test. Also beim Installer auswählen das Daten nicht kopiert werden und Logdatei auswählen. Dann weisst du wo genau was hinkopiert würde.

Soweit ich mich noch erinner kann wird entweder LoadIDE oder IDEfix in der S-S ausgeführt. Entfernen oder auskommentieren sollte schon ausreichen um es zu deaktivieren.

Ich habe es daran erkannt, dass in deinem Report die Version 119 bei scsi.device auftaucht. Das scsi.device im Kickstart hat Version 40, das von OS 3.9 die Version 43.

Bei OS 3.9 sollte es ausreichen, die Datei IDEfix im C-Verzeichnis zu löschen oder umzubenennen, um es zu deaktivieren.

Außerdem habe ich dich bereits darauf hingewiesen, dass du sinnvollerweise Devs:DosDrivers/EMERGENCY_CD und Devs:DosDrivers/CD0 löschen solltest. Die machen keinen Sinn.

Danke für die Antworten udn Hinweise.

Ich dachte, ich hätte Devs:DosDrivers/EMERGENCY_CD und Devs:DosDrivers/CD0 bereits mal gelöscht. War wohl doch nicht so.
Aber jetzt.
IdeFix habe ich auch deinstalliert. Ich habe gesehen, dass es auch ein Uninstaller gab.


An dem Problem hat sich aber nichts geändert. ICS kann immer noch nicht auf die Dateien zugreifen.

Was bedeutet denn das "*" und das "N" bei check? In der readme steht dazu nicht wirklich was.

Was ist denn mit der Prog-Partition, "flackert" die immer noch beim Hochfahren?

Auf welcher Partition liegen die ICS-Dateien?

Das * bedeutet "nicht ok" und das N, dass das Device NSD unterstützt.

PFS3-DS kann nur SCSI, aber nicht NSD. Leider ist die Abfrage nach SCSI in Check4GB fehlerhaft, deshalb gehe ich davon aus, dass das doch ok ist.

Hallo Thomas,

das mit der PROG-Partition scheint nun wieder in Ordnung zu sein. Zumindest hat der Amiga nun zwei Mal ohne nach der Prog-Partition zu fragen gebootet.

Die ICS-Dateien liegen auf der Partition Grafik.
Wenn ich den Scannvorgang starte, berechnet ICS eine Farbkorrektur. Irgendwann benötigt das Programm das Verzeichnis "Grafik:ICS/ICS_Profiles". Das ist grundsätzlich vorhanden, doch es kann con ICS nicht darauf zugegriffen werden.

Ich werde gleich mal ausprobieren, das Verzeichnis auf eine andere Partition zu legen und schauen, ob ICS dann richtig funktioniert.
==> Das hat auch nicht geholfen.
Aber ich habe jetzt ICS neu installiert und siehe da, es geht wieder.



Ich habe das Programm hddreport ausprobiert. Allerdings bleibt es irgendwann mal stehen. Im Fenster steht:
"checking devices"
"mfm-device unit 0"


Weiter tut sich da nichts, schon seit ca. 10 Minuten. es bremmst nur den Amiga tierisch aus, so dass alles sehr träge ist.

Ok, danke für den Test. Ich werde das bei Gelegenheit untersuchen.

Derweil könntest du die Datei PC0 von Devs/DosDrivers nach Storage/DosDrivers verschieben, den Rechner neu starten und den Test wiederholen. Er sollte dann nicht mehr beim mfm.device hängen bleiben.

Hinweis: bevor du den Rechner neu startest min. 5 Sekunden warten, weil PFS3 die letzte Änderung immer erst nach Sekunden tatsächlich auf die Festplatte schreibt.

Ich sehe da nur ein paar kleine Ungereimtheiten:

Zum einen sollte man bei PFS die Blockgröße auf 512 Bytes setzen, du hast aber 1024 eingestellt.

Zum anderen sollte man PFS zwischen 150 und 250 Puffer zuweisen, wenn man Verzeichnisse mit mehr als 2000 Einträgen hat sogar bis 350 Puffer. Du hast überall 80 eingestellt.

Die Puffer kannst du ohne Datenverlust ändern.

Bei der Blockgröße bin ich mir nicht sicher, wie PFS das handhabt. Das solltest du erstmal an einer Partition ausprobieren, die nicht beim Systemstart benötigt wird. Wenn die nach dem Neustart unformatiert ist, kannst du es einfach wieder zurückändern und nochmal neu starten.

Puffer kann man in der Partitionsübersiche eintragen:

Ich habe den Puffer überall problemlos geändert.

Die Blockgröße habe ich bei einzelnen Partitionen auch geändert. Es scheint auch problemlos zu funktionieren.
Nach der Änderung in HD-Toolbox kommt zwar der Hinweis, dass die Partition mit dieser Änderung gelöscht wird. Nach einem Neustart ist die Partition und der Inhalt noch da.

Bei Gelegenheit werde ich für die übrigen Partitionen die Blockgröße auch noch umstellen.
