Hello Miggy users.
Could one of you intelligent guys help me.
I have the following setup a A1200 with LAN connection and serial connection to internet,which i want to use as a Gateway,on the LAN i have also a A4000 and PC.Also running i have SAMBA everything works Good so far on a local Network.

Problem: ?
When in internet A4000 has no problems with using A1200 as Gateway.But the Bill Gates Thing (ie PC)Just does not what to
go to any website.Ihave done everything i can on the PC,side but
now,as you say in German Ich bin Rätlos,Is there anyone that can give
me a tip,What i am doing wrong.

My set ups are A1200ppc Mediator Fastethernet,A4000ppc Mediator Fastehternet,PC PII Fastethernet.

On Both Amigas OS3.9 MiamiDeluxe

On PC Windoze ME

Like i said in Local network,everthing works fine transfering files
from one computer to the other.Its just that the PC does not want to go in internet.

Please you can give your answers in German.I can Understand.Just My
German Grammer when it comes to writing is terrible.:boing:

First Thanks for the quick response.
The Problem that Browser say is following.

Fehler: Server oder DNS kann nicht gefunden werden.

The gateway to the A1200 i have given in under setting,on the PC
where it says Network.Where do i put the DNS Settings and what
would they look like.The online help from Billgates,is about as
much good as a ashtray is,on a motorbike.

Hi,

It looks like an DNS-Problem.
To verify this, you kann enter the IP-Address in your browser.

213.146.172.116 - it should show the amiga-news.de site.
Then your pc can't resolve the name amiga-news.de to the ip.

In your LAN-settings, where you enter your local ip or dhcp there is a field for your dns-servers (primary and secondary). You need the IP of this server. It must be the same ips as your gateway have.
Edit (the same dns-ips, not the same loacl as your gateway)

Still Nojoy under local i have ips 192.168.0.2 PC
My Server dns ips i have given in pc 194.25.2.129 (T-online)
My gateway also ips 194.25.2.129

Still spits the same mistake.I am using win me is there a diffrence.

Why i use Nobby ist because my last name is Noble.
