3D strategy game: New demo version of Axion
Axion by VirtualAssets is an experimental 3D tactical game for the Amiga that is currently in development (amiga-news.de reported). The new demo version now available contains several changes to the engine design. As the author writes, the AGA/ECS version is merely a tribute to the classic Amiga; the engine is primarily aimed at machines with RTG or extremely accelerated 68k. Changes:
- UI enhancements
- Added scenario manager
- Added map selection mode
- Fixes and optimizations
- Added game engine features
- Accelerated C2P
- General structure reorganization
- Experimental engine for 68030 processors
- Lowered memory requirement
