A1200 motherboard in Mini-ITX format: Alicia 1200 now available for preorder
"Alicia" is a replica of the A1200 motherboard in Mini-ITX form factor. Pre-orders are now being accepted for the first production run. According to the manufacturer, anyone who orders the board now for £255 (around ¤290) will receive the product "around Christmas". Alicia 1200 offers the following features:
- Connectors: keyboard and mouse (DIN plugs), 2x DB9 joystick port, DB15 RGB video, stereo audio
- Internal headers for serial and parallel port and floppy drive
- A1200-compatible IDE and clock port connections
- Internal expansion port for digital and analogue video expansions (‘VP2’)
- 120-pin expansion bus (‘Tornado V2’) for turbo, graphics or network cards. An adapter for connecting existing A1200 trapdoor cards is available separately.
- 16-bit PCMCIA connection
The board is delivered partially assembled: the approximately 450 passive components, four smaller ICs and a 120-pin connector for the Tornado V2 connection are already soldered in place. All other components (list of all required components) must be procured and assembled by the customer. (cg)
