BoingTube: YouTube on the Amiga BoingTube makes YouTube content available on classic Amiga systems, with an approach very similar to AmiTube: The project is aimed at AmigaOS 3.2 users and combines a native Amiga application with a server-based backend that runs on the local home network. The server handles all the complex tasks such as searching, metadata processing, and video transcoding, while it is controlled from AmigaOS either via an RxMUI-based user interface or via a fully IBrowse-compatible HTML front end. BoingTube supports global YouTube search, channel browsing, and video and playlist playback. Extensive metadata such as views, subscribers, thumbnails, and other information is also displayed. The server part is distributed as a Docker container and requires a 64-bit processor with 2 GB of RAM. The following setup is required on the Amiga side:
