Operating system for the Amiga: Seventh alpha version of Serena OS
Dietmar Planitzer is working on what he describes as a "modern operating system for Amiga computers" (amiga-news.de reported). One of the most important new features of alpha alpha version 0.7.0 is the ability to write software for Serena OS on either Windows or macOS using the newly released Serena SDK and the vbcc C compiler. Here is an overview of the other changes:
- Significantly improved completeness of the C library
- Addition of the standard math library
- Improved CPU exception handling by the kernel
- More complete 68060 support
- The diskimage development tool can now be built on macOS
