Playable "Tech Demo": Micro Karting #3
"Micro Karting" (video) is an attempt, written entirely in assembler, to implement a 3D kart racing game on a bare A1200 (amiga-news.de reported). The third tech demo, which has just been released, brings several noticeable improvements.
New features include music during the race, a race timer, and track feedback: if you veer off the track, you"ll feel it through vibrations in the kart and a loss of speed. In addition, the core algorithm has been further optimized, which, according to the developers, results in approximately 25 percent smoother gameplay compared to the previous version. (nba)
