Hollywood: Ogg Vorbis-Plugin 2.0
Press Release: Airsoft Softwair is pleased to announce the immediate availability of version 2.0 of the Ogg Vorbis plugin for Hollywood. Version 2.0 is a major update that now includes an OggVorbis encoder. Previous versions only supported playback of OggVorbis streams, but thanks to the new audio export interface introduced in Hollywood 11, the plugin can now also create OggVorbis streams. The plugin supports constant and variable bitrates as well as various quality settings. It also allows Hollywood to record audio directly as OggVorbis.
Since the OggVorbis encoder is very large, the plugin is available in two different versions: a compact "Light" version that can only play OggVorbis files, and a "Full" version that can also encode OggVorbis streams.
The Ogg Vorbis plugin is available for free via the official Hollywood portal and, thanks to the cross-platform plugin system, is compatible with numerous operating systems, including AmigaOS 3, AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, AROS, Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS. On AmigaOS 3, it is recommended to use the FPU version of the plugin, as the encoder uses numerous floating-point operations and the pure 68k version without FPU runs correspondingly slowly. (cg)
