Sound effect generator: AmiPulse SFX TheoTheoderich has released a new tool called AmiPulse SFX that allows users to create short 8-bit sound effects directly on the Amiga. The tool is primarily aimed at game developers and retro fans who want to create typical in-game sounds such as lasers, hits, coins, alarms, explosions, or bass drum samples. AmiPulse SFX offers templates for quick results, freely adjustable sound parameters, a modify function for loaded or user-created sounds, a file browser, and custom user presets. Sounds are saved as 8SVX; files to be imported must have the .8SVX extension. The tool was developed using AmiBlitz3 and requires a 68020 processor (recommended: 68030 or higher), Kickstart 3.1 or higher, 1 MB of Chip RAM, and some Fast-RAM. Created sound effects may also be used freely in commercial projects. AmiPulse SFX is available for free on itch.io via the title link as an ADF and LHA archive. (nba) [News message: 05.
