Watching Twitch streams on the Amiga: AmiStreamRaider 1.2.0
AmiStreamRaider is using a PC as a proxy server to show Twitch streams on an Amiga. New in version 1.2.0:
- Native MUI/C Amiga client replacing the previous RxMUI/AREXX GUI path.
- Server and GUI now use the same release version number for clearer compatibility.
- No curl, nc/netcat, RxMUI or AREXX helper scripts are required for normal client operation.
- No installer needed! Just double click AmiStreamRaider!
- Native Amiga networking through bsdsocket.library.
- Playback now runs through bsdsocket.library -> PIPE: -> RiVA.
- New Power Search tab with extended filters, source selection and sorting options.
- Low Latency mode, reducing delay significantly depending on stream, server and network conditions for optimal chat/video synchronisation.
- Enhanced custom chat renderer with colored nicknames, badges and animated emotes/GIFs.
- Classic chat remains available as a lightweight text-only chat mode.
- Improved Search, Power Search, Favs and Prefs tabs.
- Better channel preview and stream information handling.
- Updated menus, About windows, status display and preference handling.
- Simplified configuration through ENVARC:asr.prefs on the Amiga side.
- Default RiVA command now points to tools/RiVA68k. No more RiVA in c:
- Cleaner Docker/server setup with the server image aligned to the 1.2.0 release.
