Menu patch: MagicMenu 3.0
Twenty-four years after the last update, AmiKit publisher Jan Zahurancik has released an update for MagicMenu. All settings that determine the appearance of a menu can now be configured separately for pull-down and pop-up menus. In addition, the settings editor has been completely rewritten in MUI.
New in version 3.0:
- each menu type has its own settings
- A MUI preferences editor
- Adjustable drop shadows
- Transparency bug from 1999 fixed
- adjustable opening delay for each menu type
- some 30 fixed crashes, hangups and memory leaks
System requirements:
- AmigaOS 2.04 or newer
- The multicolor 3D look and the editor's color controls need 3.0.
- MUI 3.8 or newer for the preferences editor
- 64 colours on the editor's screen, or its colour half is simply absent
Tested configuration:
- AmiKit
- AmigaOS 3.x
- 68020-Prozessor
- 32-Bit-TrueColor-RTG
AGA, OCS/ECS, plain 68000 and AmigaOS 2.x have not been tested. MagicMenu is licensed under the GPL; the source code is available on GitHub. Please use the bug tracker there to report bugs and provide feedback. (cg)
