PDFPrinter: PDF printer driver for AmigaOS
Marcus Gerards' PDFPrinter is a "printer driver" that generates PDF files. Any application that prints text or graphics via the printer.device can use this driver to generate PDF files. Starting with AmigaOS 1.3 and a 680000 processor with just “a little memory” (according to the developer), you can create low-resolution PDF files. For full-page, high-quality PDFs, approximately 8 MB of Fast-RAM is required.
The files can be compressed using two different methods, making it possible to print PDF graphics even from floppy disks.
Using the included preferences tool, printouts can be configured beyond the standard Amiga printer settings: For example, PDFs can be told to fill the page, images can be automatically rotated or be printed borderless. (cg)
