Retro Gaming: WHDLoad 16.7
With WHDLoad you can install games and scene demos on a hard drive which were originally meant only for use with disks. In addition, numerous incompabilities with newer Amiga models are fixed. Changes since the last version:
  • fix: the Snoop check for custom.bplpt's against BaseMem bounds was broken on word writes on the 68030 (DJMike)
  • fix: resload_LoadFile and resload_LoadFileDecrunch has silently not loaded data without PreLoad, bug introduced in v16.6 (Bored Seal/Psygore)
  • new: option NoResInt/S add, which disables any interrupts during execution of resload functions
  • chg: if the Slave requires AGA and that is not yet enabled in graphics.library WHDLoad calls SetChipRev to enable it, this obsoletes the execution of SetPatch prior to WHDLoad
  • new: WHDLoadCD32 a special WHDLoad version to be used on the CD³², check documentation for more info
  • chg: registration fee in USD adapted due currency differences, EUR and GBP unchanged
  • chg: various enhancements on the install template

The so called "Nightly Builds" of YAM are developer versions which might contain bugs and therefore only should be used by experienced users. There are versions for AmigaOS 3/4 and MorphOS. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Magazine: Amiga Future celebrates 8th anniversary
Press release: This month Amiga Future celebrates its 8th anniversary. Thats a good reason for use to celebrate. Eight years ago most of the users thought we would hold on only for few months.

In November/December 1998 the first issue of the Amiga Future was printed.

Because of delivery reasons Amiga Future first was published as special issue so the first issue was not named 1 but 11.

From the beginning the Amiga Future was published each second month with Cover-CD.

With issue 27 the editorial stuff became self-employed. All articles were written by themselves. Besides this the delivery of the magazine was made by them, too.

Meanwhile issue 63 was published and we are already working on the next issue of the Amiga Future.

During the next weeks we will start some little but nice actions on the Amiga Future homepage and there will be some bigger updates, too.

We start with a special offer for all fans of the Amiga Future-reader-CD. Directly on the start page of our shop you can find this limited offer.

Several older single issues you can order in our onlineshop.

We would like to thank all editors, firms and users who helped us creating the Amiga Future and of course to thank all readers of the Amiga Future.
