MorphOS: Reggae supports now AIFC/sowt
Grzegorz "Krashan" Kraszewskis has published a new modul for his multimedia library Reggae: The "sowt"-pseudocodec for the AIFC-format (compressed audio IFF) is used to save sound data in Little-Endian-format and was introduced by Apple. Most of the current audio applications under Mac OS save in this format.

The new aiff.demuxer 51.7 for Reggae supports AIFC as well as the "sowt"-version. (cg) (Translation: dr)

AmigaOS 4: Integrated development environment "CodeBench" (preview)
Simon "Rigo" Archer develops an integrated development environment called CodeBench for AmigaOS 4 (screenshot). There will be a limited version of the program with the next OS4-SDK. The full version of CodeBench will be distributed commercially.

The author describes CodeBench as "plugin-based management-system". The C/C++ and PHP/HTML-plugins already work. With the help of the corresponding plugin each programming language can be supported. CodeBench can compile itself as well as AmigaOS 4 source code.

Under the title link the author explained some features of CodeBench in a discussion. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Amiga-clone: First Natami-prototype is produced
The Amiga-clone NatAmi developed by Thomas Hirsch has a reimplementation of the Amiga-Custom Chips - in contrary to similar projects the AGA-compatibility is aspired.

Meanwhile the development of the NatAmi-motherboard was forwarded so far that the production of the first prototype called NatAmi60 could be started.

The specification of the NatAmi60 includes 16 Mb Chip-RAM, 256 Fast-RAM, a 68060-processor as well as several improvements of the chipset features. For further information have a look at section Questions and Answers. (cg) (Translation: dr)
