Picasso96 sold to Individual Computers and Hyperion Entertainment (Update)
According to Alexander Kneer and Tobias Abt under the title link, they have decided "to sell the Picasso96 intellectual property to a joint ownership between Hyperion Computer Entertainment and Individual Computers GmbH (Jens Schönfeld)."

They also wrote: "Hyperion and Individual Computers have assured us that they will continue to support both the classic Amiga and next generation systems as well. They plan to integrate P96 into upcoming new OS releases."

Update: (13.04.2017, 13:00, cg)

In a statement on a1k.org (German, requires registration), Jens Schönfeld from Individual Computers explains that the Picasso96 distribution on Aminet will remain available and is still freely distributable. Users that want to register the software will be able to buy a "slightly improved" version from the Individual Computers online shop, using a "pay what you want" approach. (snx) (Translation: dr)

Individual Computers: ACA500plus delivered, cash payment at iComp
Press release: The ACA500plus has kept us busy since it's introduction in december 2016: After less than four months, the all-rounder for the A500 is already one of the most successful products in company history. While our shop system is still not showing any stock, the average wait time for a card has gone down to just three days. Only a fraction of the customers had a waiting time of more than a week. We'd like to say thank-you to all our customers for a great start into the year 2017!

Starting in April 2017, our customers from Germany and areas close to the German border will be able to pay in cash for their orders from our shop through our partner Barzahlen.de. If you go shopping next time at Rewe, Penny, dm and many other retail stores, you can also pay for your order from our shop and use either cash or the cards that are accepted in those stores. This way, safety-conscious customers have the best protection of their bank data. Barzahlen.de offers buyer protection, and also a refund in cash in case you make use of your right of revocation. We will get an instant notification of your payment, so your parcel may already be on it's way before you get back home. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Ben Hermans resigns his position as director of Hyperion
During the afternoon a hint was published on amiga.org that in the Belgisch Staatsblad an application of Hyperion (PDF) was published for removing the rank of the director ("Bestuurder") for Ben Hermans because he did resign this position on December 16th. This has been certified since January 12th because the KBO ("Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen") lists only founding member Timothy de Groote as well as the German Costel Mincea, joined in May 2015 as directors of Hyperion.

A few hours later Hyperion's website also announced the change:

"Hyperion Entertainment CVBA wishes to announce that Mr. Ben Hermans has resigned as a director of the company to allow him to concentrate on his practice as legal counsel. He remains committed to Hyperion Entertainment and will continue representing its legal interests in the best possible way. Ben of course also remains a shareholder in the Hyperion Entertainment business." (cg) (Translation: dr)
