First picture of ColdFire V4 CPU-card for Amiga There is a picture of a very early prototype of a ColdFire V4 turbo card for the Amiga 4000 in the news section of amiga-coldfire.de (title link). Amiga Complete without Software for Tax Clarifications? Andreas Just: I got the following mail from Fa. Olufs yesterday (shortened): Your update of the income tax program for 2002 is ready. All legal changes including the tax effects of the Riester pension. The self-printed forms are of good quality and the price has not been changed. [snip ...] Note to Amiga and Atari customers: we had to shutter this enterprise, but you'll have a lot of joy with the Windows version. On the homepage there is no direct notice given, except that no updates are available for Amiga. It is such a shame to lose another program. (ps) [News message: 28. Eyetech: A Few Clarifications and Explanations about the AmigaOne On the AmigaOne mailing list Alan Redhouse (Eyetech) talked about a few points (click on the title link for the full email) that were not clear until now: The AmigaOneG3-SE will be delivered without an AMR (Audio-Modem-Riser) card, because Eyetech couldn't get any at reasonable prices. AmigaOne Customers who buy an SE model must therefore rely on external modems and a PCI soundcard instead of the integrated AMR slot. Ole-Egil Hvitmyren (one of the AmigaOne testers) has personally developed an AR (Audio Riser) card, without modem. He will offer these at a "very reasonable" [quotes are Alan Redhouse's] price. The Amiga One-XE motherboards are not affected by this: they don't have an AMR slot, the audio output goes directly out on this model. Work is occuring on a list of hardware that has been tested with the Amiga One. It was stated that to use this stuff under OS 4 is going to require Amiga drivers, so pay attention to what Hyperion says about it. The "Earlybird" systems will come with an installation diskette and a minimal version of SUSE Linux. Additionally provided are UAE and a licensed Amiga Kickstart ROM image. The Escena PCI cards that were to allow the AmigaOne to access the custom chips of an attached A1200 motherboard are considered by Eyetech to be "probably not existent," because no information about the current status of the cards could be obtained from Escena. Update: (26.07.2014, cg) A complete copy of Alan Redhouse's mail (added since the Original has been moved elsewhere by Yahoogroups apparently): Message-Id: <5.2.0.9.0.20021127140602.01ffd840@192.168.1.5> An: amigaone@yahoogroups.com Von: Eyetech Group Ltd(ps) (Translation: dm) [News message: 27.
