`15.Dec.2002` Halvadjian Georges (ANF)	Paint program: PerfectPaint V2.9 On 15th December 2002, Halvadjian Georges has released version 2.9 of the paint program 'PerfectPaint'. Changes compared to the previous version as follows: New paint effect: TV-Lace including ARexx command. Improved text functions: PerfectPaint now supports TrueType character sets with the help of ttengine.library. Two new buttons: 'Select Character': Useful for Dingbats character sets (symbols). 'Font-Path-History' The Requester menu has two additional entries: 'Upper text' and 'Lower text' Small update of 'Lensflare' script. New, asynchroneous window: Undo/Redo. With this you can jump from one step of a picture to another. Some bug fixes. 'Size Presets' have been added to 'New' and 'Scale page' requesters. AutoCrop (including 'crop' requester). PerfectPaint automatically recognises: PGM pictures and loads these. Postscript (PS) and PDF files and tries to load them with the help of GhostScript (Postscript/PDF viewer). Improved text effect 'Azzaro'. Two new text effects: 'Water' and 'River'. Imporved window history. Bug fix in connection with the Picbrush tool and very large pictures. 5 new tooltypes: SCREEN_ID SCREEN_WIDTH SCREEN_HEIGHT SCREEN_DEPTH On some computers the startup or screenmode requesters isn't opened for unknown reasons. With this you can still apply your settings. CYBERGRAPHX: Forces PerfectPaint to recognise CybergraphX. Border&Edge limited to 24bit pictures. Improved 'Compose' requester. New entry in Picture menu: 'Crop & Paste'. Improved 'Adjust levels', now with adjustable tolerance. PerfectPaint runs from 68030 + FPU, AmigaOS V3.0, Gfx card (Cybergraphx from V41 R71 or Picasso96) and requires the following libraries: Render.library, Jpeg.library, XPKmaster.library, AsyncIO.library as well as ttengine.library. `14.Dec.2002` Amiforce (ANF)	Abakus-Design: AMHuhnXE finished (update II) AmHuhnXE AMHuhnXE has been finished and will be made available in the next few days for all registered users. The sending of the accounts will be started today. Because of the change to 16bit samples is the archive much bigger than the one of AMHuhn. It's around 8.8 MB in size. AMHuhn1.2 (update) There's a small update for AMHuhn fixing a bug in the highscores. The GFX update will be moved into this update and it will be made available for all. Update: The update is now available and contains the GFX update. The enhanced guides are in the archive, too. The first 150 accounts of AMHuhnXE have already been sent. All other people will get their copy at latest on Monday or Tuesday. Update II: All accounts have been sent. People who have unfortunately received more than one mail please delete the further mails. `13.Dec.2002` Olaf Köbnik (E-Mail)	Amiga Arena: Interview with Thomas Schulze/Dreamworlds (CrossfireII) The Amiga market may be small but sometimes the Amiga users are surprised by publications of hardware or software products who had nobody expected. "Crossfire II" is one of these products. After a developing time of more than two and half a year where the team had to fight against breaks and loss of data the full version of the game was published on the "Amiga + Retro Computing 2002" in Aachen. People who like the classical 2d shooters will love it because today this genre of game has almost vanished. "Crossfire II" is not only a simple shooting game but has various players modes and the single player "story mode" where you have to face up single tasks as a pilot. `13.Dec.2002` ANN	Benchmark: AmiGOD 2 beta 13.12.2002 On December 7, 2002 Lukas Stehlik published a new beta version of 'AmiGOD 2'. This is an AmigaOS benchmark. The following things have changed: Amiga Continued special version (Czech Amiga magazine) MorphOS test: new internal module Pegasos G3/600MHz (!!!) + Voodoo4 AGP Amithlon test: new internal module Athlon XP 1700 + TNT2 UAE test: new internal module P/166MHz + Tseng PCI Amiga test: new internal module A1240/25MHz + Voodoo3 PCI added info buttons to the database small bug in database was removed (thanks to Don Cox) please, do not run it on Amiga without FPU (not debugged yet) The benchmark runs from AmigaOS 3.0 on (AmigaOS 2.0 was not tested), with CPU 68k, PPC (or PC and UAE or Amithlon), 0.2 MB RAM and identify.library (included).
