AmigaOS 4: Spreadsheet ignition 1.20, update of OpenDocument plugins
Achim Pankalla has released version 1.20 of the spreadsheet ignition which at least requires AmigaOS 4.1 update 6. Many bugs and problems have been solved and some minor new functions added. For example:
  • Zoomen with ctrl and mousewheel
  • Old column/row title will be displayed if they are not standard
  • 22 new functions
  • correct/update some functions
  • correct some error
  • turbocalc add-on extend and corrected
  • some changes in the manual

The ods-addon was reworked as well. The addon allows loading and saving tables in OpenDocument format, which is used in LibreOffice/OpenOffice Calc among others.

Changes in ign-ods-addon 0.35:
  • add new functions og ignition
  • correct the problem, which appears after save a ods-file

Real-time strategy: Vanilla Conquer with 'Mission Pack' support
Artur Jarosik is known for various game ports like the platformer Hydra Castle Labyrinth or the action adventure Heart of Darkness besides his SDL implementation of the browser NetSurf. As a contribution for the AmiGameJam he started to port the first part of the realtime strategy series Command & Conquer to the Amiga and named it "Vanilla Conquer" (amiga-news.de reported).

Today the developer has added support for mission packs and by that 15 new missions and seven new music tracks. The game is intended for Amigas equipped with Apollo/Vampire V4 or PiStorm/Emu-68 expansions.

Game Construction Kit: Scorpion Engine V2022.4
The "Scorpion Engine" developed by Erik 'earok' Hogan allows you to develop games. The engine itself is closed source, all demos and example games are open source. The editor runs under Windows. Graphics are imported as PNG files, levels created by using the editor Tiled eingesetzt. For importing and creating sounds, music and animations the Amiga formats (mod, 8svx, anim5) are used.

A few moments ago he has relesaed version 2022.4 with the following changes:
  • New sample: AlarCity title screen
  • New sample: Vertical Parallax AGA
  • New sample: Render modes and palettes
  • Rendermodes for making actors blink, flash etc
  • "NoClear" option for effects requiring that BOBs aren't cleared after being blitted
  • Vastly improved real time palette manipulation
  • "Parallax locked" movement type for creating objects that are tied to the parallax background
  • Ability to link sounds to levels (so they're loaded and unloaded with those specific levels)
  • Rewrite of the codeblocks virtual machine for improved performance
  • Lots of bug fixes and other minor improvements

MorphOS: Web browser Wayfarer 3.8
Jacek 'jacadcaps' Piszczek has released version 3.8 of his web browser Wayfarer for MorphOS which, additional to a bug fix, introduces basic drag & drop of web elements of a website.

Changes:
  • Implemented basic drag & drop of web elements within a page
  • Fixed scrollbar positions after switching between tabs

Hollywood addon: Remedios 1.2 released
Airsoft Softwair has released version 1.2 of Remedios. Remedios allows Hollywood scripts to be compiled as standalone apps for iOS and iPadOS. Remedios 1.2 is a minor update that now adds support for Hollywood 9.1 and Xcode 13. The update is available now for all customers for free in the protected download area. (dr)

Game Construction Kit: RedPill 0.9.10
RedPill, developed by Carlos Peris, is a game construction kit written in Amiblitz 3.9, which allows the development of games from various genres (see short tests of two Redpill games). RedPill is compatible with AGA and ECS, the "player" for playing the finished creations requires a total of 1.5 MB RAM.

The new version 0.9.10 offers besides numerous improvements and fixes now support for AGA fetch modes, which allow the Amiga chips to work in bigger chunks, making graphics operations faster:
  • EXPERIMENTAL: Fetch mode can be set in the Screen menu for AGA games: Normal, Double and Quadruple fetch modes are supported.
  • Increased Fetch modes can improve game speed, specially in machines without fastram.
  • With higher fetch modes, funny effects could happen when using sprites or changing the screen width of the screen.
  • Resize of the map dimensions now can automatic replace the tiles to the new dimensions.
  • Multiple WHDload slaves added:
    • Workbench31_1.Slave 1 MB Chip 1 MB Fast
    • Workbench31_4.Slave 2 MB Chip 4 MB Fast
    • Workbench31_32.Slave 2 MB Chip 32 MB Fast
  • Object drawing has been reimplemented for safer (but also slower) rendering.
  • Embedded Help for trigger conditions is now more complete.
  • If the Sprite layer was attached to an Object Set Sprite Pos detaches it.
  • Set Sprite Pos will ignore parameters with coordinates less than -1000. This way you can set up just x or y coodinate.
  • Action Set NTSC moved to General category.
  • In Level Objects screen you can select snap to tile to move objects only in tile exact coordinates.
  • In Level screen you can import and export maps in CVS format.
  • General optimization.
  • When an object is attached to mouse movement now it takes into account the scrolling area.
  • Fix in camara not reaching end of the level with reduced screen widths.
  • Fix in brush width and height when using the tile shortcuts.
