`02.Jun.2000` CyberGraphX	CyberGraphX News The final update of CGX V3 (CGX_r71) is available from the download area of the CyberGraphX website. This version of CyberGraphX contains some bugfixes regarding OS3.5 and the cgxsystem.lib 41.22. For CVPPC & BVPPC new drivers version 2.8 are available as well. The download area was reworked and old single update files were removed. If you are owner of VillageTronic hardware, the Service-Petition of Paul Qureshi could be of interest for you. With this petition, Paul wants to convince VillageTronic to release the support documents to noted repair shops in different countries so that it can be guaranteed that VT products will still be repaired in future. It is a program in the style of TrainerMaker and Cheater and allows the manipulation of memory addresses (with search/compare/change as on the Action Replay). `02.Jun.2000` CD³² Allianz via eMail	CD³²-Allianz News _CD³² Developer-Kit available again_ A few weeks ago, we had to remove the CD³² Developer-Kit from our homepage, as we were lacking the webspace and Gary Peake forced us to. Now it's available again as we have webspace again and explained to Gary that we had the permission from Petro Tyschtschenko. _CD³²-Allianz visits the Amiga fair in Neuss_ We will visit the fair event in Neuss so that you can get in touch with us. There you can discuss with us the future of the CD³², the current game situation of the CD³², CD³²-Allianz and the cooperation with amiga.topcool and so on. This is what we're looking forward the most. Of course we will also try to get in touch with companies, distributors and software programmers and hope to present you positive news after the fair. _New distribution channels for CD³² Outside found_ After the CD³² Outside can be found soon on the AmigaPlus- and AmigaFuture CD-ROM, as well as in the CD³²-Corner, we are pleased that our magazine will soon be also available on Aminet and the Aminet CD-ROMs. This will raise its acquaintance which should lead to a higher interest in the CD³². `02.Jun.2000` ANN	News from Alive Mediasoft We too have received the eMails mentioned on ANN. Find above a direct link to the Alive Mediasoft's answer at ANN so that we don't repeat them here and you can direcly participate in the discussion on the theme. 03 June 2000, supplement: Bothered Steven Flowers from Alive Mediasoft started his eMail with the words, "first of all I'm pretty pissed off", and wordy he explained why Goal 2000 wouldn't be just a cracked version of Goal. There were many new features and possiblities comming with Goal 2000 not implemented in Goal, and that cracked version was taken with the developer's consent, cause there wasn't any other version available at that time. Might be that such procedures are being used with a release, but in my opinion this should be avoided as far as is possible, even though. That's debatable. But I actually recieved eMails from ppl complaining about AM again and again during the last few month, e.g. developers who either didn't get payed or even nobody asked them, if their software may be distributed. In the past I allways replyed on those ppl, they should set their problems clear direct with AM, cause I presumed them to be unsuccessful particular cases. `02.Jun.2000` Bladerunner in ANF	The Clue becomes open source As it looks, the ingenious burglar simulation will become Open Source. The guys from Neo are apparently preparing a sourcecode packet. Meanwhile, there are also many discussions going on about it in the Neo Forum. Sadly I can't find any participation from Amiga programmers. It would be nice if there'd be another Amiga release. `31.May.2000` Rüdiger Engel	ZDNet: CeBIT Home cancelled "This year there will be no CeBIT Home. This was confirmed to ZDNet by the Deutsche Messe AG on Thursday. The press spokesperson of the Deutsche Messe, Eberhard Roloff, said: "The quality aspect is unreasonable for those exhibitors who stayed with us." More details (German) at the title link. Heise: CeBIT Home 2000 cancelled The Computer and Multimedia Show CeBIT Home, planned for this late summer in Leipzig, has been cancelled. The Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover has decided to call the show off due to the bad exhibitor numbers. The whole concept of a multimedia show addressing the private user is to be rethought. Only a few days before, the Messe AG has stated that they wanted to stick with the show concept this year, too. It would have been the third CeBIT Home. Because of the World Exposition Expo 2000 in Hannover, Leipzig was chosen as alternative. Several well-known exhibitors were missing two years ago already. Back then, 586 exhibitors were attending. `31.May.2000` AMIGA	Executive Update Executive Update May 30,2000 Friends: Many people have been writing to me recently, reminding me that there has been very little activity as far as site updates go. While this is not intended as the official Executive Update, I just want to make sure everyone knew that there has, in fact, been a great deal of activity going on at Amiga since the Amiga 2k show in Saint Louis a few months ago. As usual, there are things that we aren't ready to discuss, but never mistake our silence for being "asleep". Officially you can watch the Amiga.com site for the new Executive Update, new developer and application information, as well as several other updates which will be posted on June 3rd, 2000. In the next Update, you can expect to see much more information and details about our immediate plans than this message will have. While we could have waited another week or so to post the next Update, I thought the community needed to hear from us, to let you know what we can at the moment, and to ask you to be patient, just a little bit longer. One critical area that needs to be addressed right now today is the Amiga name, trademarks, logos, and intellectual properties. Many of you have sent me notes asking us to take action against those who are making illegal copies of our software, using our name without permission, and the distributing our intellectual property without our knowledge and consent. While this might seem negative for many, it is imperative that Amiga properly and legally defend our trademarks and intellectual property. To be blunt and to the point, if you are using the Amiga name, Amiga logos, or distributing our intellectual property without a license, you must cease and desist these actions immediately. Amiga Incorporated owns the aforementioned items and all rights contained therein. We understand that many of you have worked very hard to maintain a community, the spirit, and all we know Amiga as today. Unfortunately, there are many people, sites, and even companies out there who are using the Amiga name in a detrimental fashion, and in negative ways. Some have even sought to use the Amiga name to further their own goals and products. Because of this and because international trademark laws mandate it, we must make sure that anyone using our name, logos, or trademarks in any fashion is properly licensed by us. Okay, now that we've said that, here's the Amiga SDK (Software Developers' Kit)! On April 1st, 2000, at the Amiga 2k show, Amiga Inc. announced the developer box and our partnership with the TAO group in England. To be quite honest, the number of developers who approached us at the show and shortly thereafter wanting to purchase the Software Development Kit (SDK) separately from the hardware to run on your own machines took us completely by surprise. Well, we listened and in only a few days will be releasing to manufacture the new Amiga SDK. More information will be on the site the weekend of June 3rd. Please note that the SDK will sell for $99 U.S.. The SDK will be available from your Amiga retailer, and other sources soon-to-be announced. Things really are happening at Amiga, there are new applications, new employees, new partnerships, and new products. The year 2000 truly is going to be a very exciting time. I look forward to meeting with many of you over the coming months at the different trade shows, different events, by phone, by fax, and by e-mail. I can promise you that with the release of the SDK you'll begin to see Amiga get much more aggressive and move much faster towards the future. The first cards have already reached their owners. So there seems to be hope that customers will get their cards back, some unrepaired, but better than nothing.
