Foundation Foundation News
Dieses Jahr werden zwei neue Foundation-Produkte veröffentlicht. Zunächst wird es ein Re-Release von Foundation geben, welches unter dem Titel "Foundation: Directors Cut" veröffentlicht wird. Foundation DC wird die neue Version 1.25 enthalten, wird auf GFX-Karten optimiert sein und das Rendering System Gouraud shading sowie andere Spezialeffekte enthalten. Das Spiel wird zu einem Selbstkostenpreis von £14.99 oder DM 50,- verkauft (die Preise werden nächste Woche bestätigt).
Die zweite Veröffentlichung in diesem Jahr wird 'Foundation's Edge' sein. Das wird ein komplett neues Spiel. Alle Codes werden in neu in portablem C++ geschrieben, alle Grafiken werden neu gemalt, die Spieloberfläche wird neu gestaltet. Es wird neue Level enthalten, neue Musik, neue Sounds und eine verbesserte Spielführung enthalten. Das Look and Feel wird sich vom originalen Foundation erheblich unterscheiden. Die Foundation's Edge Homepage ist bereits online. Weitere Informationen werden dort Ende der Woche verfügbar sein.
Update News:
In den nächsten Tagen werden neue Updates veröffentlicht. Paul Burkey arbeitet momentan an Version 1.25, die auf der CD "Foundation: Directors Cut" gepresst wird. Der Support für Foundation und Foundation DC wird fortgeführt.
Mir ist nicht ganz klar, ob User, die die Foundation-CD besitzen, auch für das Update 1.25 bezahlen müssen. Ich habe Paul eine eMail geschrieben und werde an dieser Stelle die Antwort posten.

Great! You will certainly not have to wait quite so long for this new game to arive! You'll be playing it for christmas!

The re-release CD, "Foundation: Directors Cut" will be released as soon as possible. I'm currently compiling the CD myself. It will contain the original game but with the next update (V1.25) already installed. If you already have the original Foundation CD then you can download the update from the Foundation Homepage or possibly fond it on a PD disk or cover of a Magazine. However the price of "Foundation: Directors Cut" will be much cheaper than the original Foundation (Probably 50 DM) so for anyone who doesn`t yet have Foundation, this is an ideal chance to get it.

Foundation's Edge will be a whole new game. More details of both products will be made available in the next week. Also, you might like to know that Foundation is now published by Epic Marketing (Islona). This will be announced in the next few days but you are free to publish that information if you wish.
Wunderbar, Besitzer der Original-Foundation CD brauchen Version 1.25 nicht zu kaufen :-), das Update ist über die Foundation-Homepage oder über PD-Disketten kostenlos verfügbar.
Das neue Foundation's Edge wird noch vor Weihnachten fertig und wird von Epic Marketing (Islona) herausgebracht, ebenso das Re-Release von Foundation. (ps)
