`19.Mär.2003` YAM (Website)	Mailprogramm: Neue YAM Entwickler-Version vom 19.03.2003 Seit heute gibt es eine neue Entwicklerversion 2.4-dev [020] BETA des Mailprogramms YAM, welches inzwischen Open Source ist. Bei der Version handelt es sich um eine reine Entwickler-Version, die möglicherweise noch Bugs enthält, und für die das Entwickler-Team keinerlei Garantie und Support übernimmt. Anfragen zu Entwicklerversionen per E-Mail bleiben unbeantwortet. Benutzung also auf eigene Gefahr! Die inzwischen gemachten Änderungen können Sie dieser Liste entnehmen. `18.Mär.2003` Grzegorz Kraszewski (ANF)	Font: TTEngine Version 6.4 TTEngine ist eine auf TrueType Font basierende Textrendering-Umgebung für AmigaOS. Heute wurde von dem Autor Grzegorz Kraszewski TTEngine Version 6.4 veröffentlicht. Neuerungen und Änderungen: TTEngine 6.4 is a bugfix release for three bugs unfortunately introduced in the previous one. The main bug was requesting mathieeesingtrans.library V38 while Workbench 3.0 and 3.1 has V37 of this library. This caused library initialization failure and revealed two bugs related to cleanup routine. Cleanup generated several Enforcer hits if called after failed initialization. `18.Mär.2003` AmithlonTV (Website)	TV-Kartentreiber: AmithlonTV Betaversion 321 Guido Mersmann hat gestern die Beta-Version 321 der TV-Kartentreiber-Software AmithlonTV mit mehreren kleineren Updates und Verbesserungen veröffentlicht. Download: AmithlonTVBeta.lha Neu in dieser Version: CHANGED: Recompiled with the latest resource tracking and management code. BUGFIX: Thanks to the new resource management I found a very (very very) worst memory boundary leak (4000 bytes!!!) in the main library core! If you had a few crashes in the past, then there is a very (very very) good chance that they are gone! BUGFIX: Another 2 byte boundary leak within the virtual card driver fixed. There will be updates when Access makes new OSupdates with new sysex midi commands. Further updates will be made when for HDRec when there comes new versions of it. `17.Mär.2003` Amiga.SF (Website)	Diego Casorran Ports: HyperMail V2.1.7 und Flac V1.1.0 Diego 'DCR8520' Casorran hat auf seiner Website bei SourceForge einige Ports zum Download bereitgestellt. Am 15. März 2003 wurden folgende Programme aktualisiert oder hinzugefügt: HyperMail to version 2.1.7, it is a program that takes a file of mail messages in UNIX mailbox format and generates a set of cross-referenced HTML documents. Each file that is created represents a separate message in the mail archive and contains links to other articles, so that the entire archive can be browsed in a number of ways by following links. (I remember you that YAM export his emails in UNIX format ;) Flac to version 1.1.0, it stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. Grossly oversimplified, FLAC is similar to MP3, but lossless. The FLAC project consists of: the stream format, reference encoders and decoders in library form, flac: a command-line program to encode and decode FLAC files, metaflac: a command-line metadata editor for FLAC files. "Free" means that the specification of the stream format is fully open to the public to be used for any purpose (the FLAC project reserves the right to set the FLAC specification and certify compliance), and that neither the FLAC format nor any of the implemented encoding/decoding methods are covered by any known patent. `17.Mär.2003` Jabberwocky (Website)	Instant Messenger: Jabberwocky V1.4 - 2. Preview Tom Parker und Matthias Münch haben Preview 2 des Instant Messengers 'JabberWocky' Version 1.4 für Amiga-Rechner veröffentlicht. Jabber ist ein offenes XML-Protokoll für den direkten Austausch von Nachrichten. Ein Verbindungsaufbau mit anderen Instant Messengern wie AIM, ICQ, MSN und Yahoo ist über Gateways möglich. Beta-Version-Download: Jabberwocky030316.lha In dieser Version gemachte Änderungen: Fixed transperancy of icons in roster window (thanks to Jeff Gilpin) Fixed long standing enforcer hit when removing contacts (also thanks to Jeff Gilpin as a side effect of the transperancy fix) Fixed reply quoting (introduced in 1.4pre1) Fixed unicode conversion of reply quoting (introduced in 1.4pre1) Some support for displaying errors in the roster (but I haven't actually had any errors that trigger it, so it either doesn't work, or I haven't had any errors. Fixed enforcer hit on startup when autoconnect is on and there is no account information (introduced in 1.3) Roster icon remains on the event icon until all unread messages have been read Fixed handling of messages from contacts that are not in the roster (introduced in 1.4pre1) As you can see 1.4pre1 had quite a lot of problems, remember you shouldn't be using any prerelease unless you want problems.
