`28.Nov.2002` VMC Harald Frank (ANF)	Neue AmithlonTV Beta 161, FAQ und GUI-Screenshots online In der Version AmithlonTV_Beta161.lzx wurden kleine Probleme des Installer-Skriptes behoben sowie ein Problem, was nur dann auftrat, wenn man nicht mehr als zwei TV-Karten hat, oder die Einstellungen der Kanalliste noch nicht gespeichert waren. Das Archiv kann in unserem Download-Bereich heruntergeladen werden, oder einfach einen Klick oben auf den lzx-Link machen. Endlich ist nun auch die erste AmithlonTV-FAQ fertig und online, in der wir die interessantesten und meisten Fragen beantworten bzw. erklären. In der Screenshot-Sektion wurden noch ein paar aktuelle Bilder der AmithlonTV Benutzer-GUI hinzugefügt, damit man sich ein Bild machen kann, wie das Programm denn nun funktioniert. `28.Nov.2002` Michael Böhmer (ANF)	USB-Karte: SUBWAY Update SUBWAY wird nach kurzer Verzögerung ausgeliefert. Leider hat sich durch die Anpassung der SUBWAY an die neue Xsurf II die Auslieferung ein bisschen verzögert. Dafür wird die SUBWAY mit dem neuesten Poseidon-Update ausgeliefert - HID-Klasse und Verbesserungen in der Geschwindigkeit sind damit schon drin :) Für alle, die sich den Einbau trotz der ausführlichen Anleitung vorher anschauen wollen, sind hier einige (hoffentlich) hilfreiche Bilder zu finden, die eventuell aufkommende Fragen klären können. `28.Nov.2002` Chris Hodges (E-Mail)	USB-Stack: Poseidon Update V1.32 Dear Poseidon Users, some time has passed since I spoke to you the last time with good news, but it tastes best, when you don't expect it. So let's get right to the goodies: - The HID class is finally in a state that allows a release. Try it, you'll love it :) There's now full support for wheels (as many as you have) and any special key on the keyboard. Tablets are supported aswell (as long as they're confirming to the HID specs). Some features are still missing, but I don't think they'll hurt you right now. Just one thing: Please read the docs. There's about 20KB of it for the hid.class alone, and don't be offended, when I'll just reply with RTFM to some of your queries. - This is only for the underpriviledged Highway/Subway-Users: The driver has been optimized a bit and now allows reading in data at a speed that is very much comparable to a certain PCI solution (at least if you've got a fast machine). - Trident has been updated. It now supports so-called forced bindings. This allows you to fix an interface or an device to a certain class. Use with care. But it comes in handy with the new... - Rawwrap.class. Yes, this is a wrapper class that makes it possible to speak to an USB interface through a standard exec device (usbraw.device). This class can be used for BetaScan. It might also work with SpitFire and some other programs. - Some more options and workarounds for the massstorage.class were added. - Heaps of bugs were fixed. `26.Nov.2002` Grzegorz Kraszewski (ANF)	TTEngine 5.1 veröffentlicht TTEngine ist eine auf TrueType Font basierende Textrendering-Umgebung für AmigaOS. Die Version 5.1 kann von der Homepage von TTEngine heruntergeladen werden. Die neue Version hat folgende neue Merkmale: Recompiled with newest FreeType 2.1.3 sources. After some research I've decided to leave bytecode interpreter turned on by default (it is turned off in default FreeType config). Autohinter seems to be not that good as FreeType authors advertise. Two wersions of TTEngine are now distributed. One full featured and one without bytecode interpreter. Both have 100% compatible API and can be interchanged by just replacing library file. The "light" version of the library may be interesting for commercial applications authors, since bytecode interpreter uses some patented things. TTEngine now supports all ISO-8859 encodings (from 1 to 16, except 12 which probably does not exist), also UTF-16BE and UTF-32BE. Application programmer can specify custom 8-bit to Unicode character mapping. A few more precise global metrics attributes have been added. Added some example programs and "ViewISO" tool showing all ISO-8859 encodings for a font face. Check "release_notes" file in the distribution archive for the full list of changes. (ps) [Meldung: 26. `25.Nov.2002` AMIGAplus	Spiel: Quake I in aktualisierten Versionen Frank Wille hat Version 2.00 von Quake 1.09 veröffentlicht, die AGA und Cybergraphics, Amiga-Keyboard, -Maus, -Joystick, Joypad (CD32, PSX), TCP/IP, AHI- und Amiga-native (Paula) Stereo Sound, Sound (audio.device) und Audio-CD Wiedergabe unterstützt.
