Previews: Adventures "Furtum Sacrum" and "RetroWars", Beat'em Up "Brus Lii"

Hyperion: Screenshot shows installation process of AmigaOS on Tabor
A screenshot published in the official blog of Hyperion shows the "Installation Utility for the A1222" and thus demonstrates a regular installation of AmigaOS 4.1 FE on the Tabor motherboard. The headline "First steps towards beta test :D" is supposed to emphasize the current progress compared with level of development from October when a single developer was buzy adapting the operating system to the new motherboard. Kickstart switcher: Software update for A500Flash
A software update for the Kickstart switcher A500Flash developed by Retro 7-bit (amiga-news.de reported) has been released. Version 1.2 fixes a bug of the communication with accelerator boards ("fix check toggle ready procedure").

Workbench distribution: AmiKit 9 Reloaded for Mac with Rabbit Hole
On October 2015 "Rabbit Hole" was introduced which for the Workbench distribution AmiKit makes it possible to start programms of the Linux or Windows operating system or to get access to Amiga files.

Releasing "AmiKit 9 Reloaded for Mac" this now is also possible with Mac OS X. Version 10.8 of the operating system is required. Additionally WinUAE under Wine 2.0 is used instead of E-UAE which provides more speed and stability to AmiKit. (snx) (Translation: dr)

Barjack Magigames: New pictogramms for WHDLoad games (Update)
Barjack Magigames provides every collection of WHDLoad games an informative set of icons (screenshot) because at first glance the new pictogramms provide information on chipset, year of release, category, language, rating and if it is a disk or CD game. MorphOS: "Hurra, ich wachse!" 2.0
The MorphOS programm "Hurra, ich wachse!" written by Ulrich Beckers "is an app to monitor and manage all body sizes/measures of children during their growth phase (age of 0-18 years) and includes data for height, weight, head girth, skinfolds, hip and waist circumference as well as for blood pressure. Additionally the body mass index (BMI), waist/hip relation, waist/height relation and body fat get automatically calculated."

Kai Scherrer's text editor Redit works without any limitations on an Amiga equipped with Kickstart 1.2, but also is fully compatible with higher versions of the system. The editor can be also launched from an emergancy disk or used after booting without startup-sequence.

Obligement: Vote for the Amiga Games Award 2016
David Brunet writes: Each year you can vote for the best Amiga game of the previous twelve months. Now it's time for the Amiga Games Award 2016!

To vote for the best AmigaOS 68k, AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, or AROS games, you can rate them at the title link. There will be no "global" winner, but a winner by systems. The final results will be published on monday, February 6, 2017. Wie jedes Jahr lässt David Brunet auch für 2016 auf der Obligement-Webseite über das beste Spiel unter AmigaOS, AmigaOS 4, MorphOS bzw. AROS abstimmen. Die Wahl erfolgt für das jeweilige Betriebssystem.

AmigaOS 4 / AROS / MorphOS: SnapIT 1.4
SnapIT written by Stefan Blixth (OnyxSoft) is a "powerful screen grabber" for AmigaOS 4, MorphOS and AROS/x86 (screenshot).

The version of MorphOS can save the screenshots as different formats by using Reggae. Generally version 1.4 now can be used without a user-interface.

FPGA: Apollo-Core-Update "Gold2"
The Apollo core is a FPGA-reimplementation of Motorolas m68k-series, which also provides a separate graphic output called SAGA. Currently the core is used in the accelerator boards 600 V2 and 500 V2(+). Changes in the latest core "Gold2":

A500 accelerator board: HC508 in progress
Another accelerator board for the Amiga 500 is in development called HC508 which is based on a 68HC000 processor clocked with 50 Mhz and according to the developer is fully compatible to the 68000. The hardware has been tested for a loner time, the layout is final. more ... (cg) (Translation: dr)

PCMCIA driver: CFD 1.33 (Update)
CFD ("CompactFlashDevice") supports using CompactFlash memory cards on the PCMCIA-Port of an A600 or A1200. Grzegorz 'Krashan' Kraszewski has released an update of the driver which improves compatibility with SD-cards (inserted via SD-CF-adapter). The updated driver also could provide support of a higher number of CF memory cards.

New PCMCIA angle connector: KA37 (Update)
Grzegorz 'Krashan' Kraszewski offers another angle connector for the PCMCIA port of the A1200 or A600 called "KA37" which is mostly required if the Amiga was put into a tower. The "KA37" is available for about 21 Euro and thus cheaper than similar products of Amigakit or Elbox. However, Krashan only accepts Bitcoin (0.0249 Bitcoin). You can order the connector via email from the developer.
