Preview: Database "Sbase 4 Pro" for AmigaOS 3/4 Russ Norby from Mr. Hardware Computers who is publisher of the well-known database software "SBase 4 Pro" as well as the current programmer Richard "evilrich" Drummond have explained the status of the development at amigaworld.net: SBase already runs under AmigaOS 4 (screenshot). The next forthcoming commercial version will still always use the old graphical user interface but is in fact highly optimated and adapted to AmigaOS 3/4. Besides this OS 1.x-specific code has been deleted and the program can now be compiled with GCC. There is a great progress in the graphic support but many of the changes and news will be only available with the next big update (SBase 5). The current beta version of SBase 4 is available for PPC, 68k-FPU and 68k-NoFPU. (cg) (Translation: dr) [News message: 25.
