MorphOS: Alphaversion 0.4 of ezTCP has been published
The PPC-native TCP/IP-Stack ezTCP by Pavel 'Sonic' Fedin is now available in its alpha version 0.4. ezTCP is a MorphZone-Bountyproject with a current donation status of 1095,73 US-$.

What's new in this version:

1. Memory trashing bug at last fixed. Try the DNS resolver, now it should work reliably with or without DOMAIN records in the resolv.conf.

2. Version of bsdsocket.library updated to 4. Now many applications will run.

3. CLI environment tools (Ping, ifconfig, route) now report if they can't open bsdsocket.library instead of quitting silently.

Remaining known problems:

1. usergroup.library is still not built, but it's on the way. So - no compatibility with ixemul.library yet. But you can try to override this by copying usergroup.library from AmiTCP (Genesis) distribution to LIBS:.

2. ezTCP kernel can't be used as a Genesis kernel replacement yet. There is some problem with the configuration, the kernel just hangs when loading configuration files (the same problem as Slawek Kaminski reported with previous versions). So I don't advice to change the location of configuration files for now. But you still play with this on your own, nice if you succeed. I just have no time to investigate this yet, I'm already a little not in my timeline and need to speed up.

3. ezTCP doesn't for check for presence of another bsdsocket.library in memory before startup. So be careful before starting it, ensure that no other stack is running.

(2) and (3) are being worked on in the background, (1) is currently a top priority (snx) (Translation: nba)
