SAFIR: IRC session with Hans-Jörg Frieden (English)
On the Swedish SAFIR web page, the transcript of an IRC session with Hans-Jörg Frieden was published. Among other things, it is disclosed herein that work will continue on the completion of the "classic" version of AmigaOS 4 as soon as the AmigaOne version is rolled out - which will be the case really soon.
Currently, the final ISO file for AmigaOne computers is being prepared, which should be distributed as a physical product in form of a CD together with appropriate packaging. On the other hand, the version for Amiga's with PowerPC acceleration cards still exhibits a couple of rough edges to straighten out, which, however, should no longer require too much time according to the developer's estimation.
