Pong variant: Press Fire PONG for Amiga 500
As developer Alberto '(4)Seasons' Sgaggero writes, "Press Fire PONG" (video) for the Amiga 500 is not just another Pong clone, but a "reimagined arcade experience with unique gameplay mechanics and dynamic visual effects".
Unlike traditional Pong, in this version the paddle is moved upwards by holding down the fire button and downwards by releasing it. This is intended to make the game more exciting. In addition, the screen does not remain static, but moves. In addition, the ball reverses its trajectory when it bounces off grey edges and disappears, only to reappear on the opposite side when it bounces off dark grey edges.
It is possible to compete against the Amiga or against a friend. A solo endurance mode is also available. The game is written in AMOS. (dr)
