Classic remake: "X-Out: Resurfaced" available on GOG.com
The underwater shooter "X-Out: Resurfaced," released in February, is now also available on GOG.com, currently with a 25% introductory discount. The revised version of the classic game released by Rainbow Arts in 1990 brings the legendary underwater shooter to current platforms in a modern reinterpretation (amiga-news.de reported).
X-Out: Resurfaced offers a completely revamped presentation with new particle and lighting effects, a completely remixed soundtrack by Chris Hülsbeck, and a redesigned cover illustration by Ogan Kandemiroglu as a tribute to his brother Celal Kandemiroglu, the artist behind the original illustration.
In addition to single-player mode, there is now a 2-player couch co-op mode, a new Mirror Mode, and a revamped shop system with freely configurable fleets.
The game is available on GOG.com (Launch Trailer) as well as in the PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox digital stores. Limited special editions are still available from ININ Games. (nba)
