Elbox: PREMIERE: Fast Ethernet 100Mbps in Amiga
ELBOX COMPUTER is pleased to announce that from now onwards
Amiga computers equipped with MEDIATOR PCI offer the possibility
of using Fast Ethernet 100Mb/s network cards.
This has become possible with the FastEthernet.device SANA-II
driver developed by Elbox for the MEDIATOR PCI busboard series.
This driver enables using 100Mb/s cards based on RTL8139
chipsets in MEDIATOR PCI bus-boards.
Fast Ethernet driver is now included in the MEDIATOR MULTIMEDIA CD
collection. All the registered MM CD users are now receiving this
new driver free of charge.
Fast Ethernet RTL8139 card features:
- 10Mb/s and 100Mb/s operations
- Support for 10Mb/s and 100Mb/s N-way Auto-negotiation operation
- Half/Full duplex capability
- Support for Full Duplex Flow Control (IEEE 802.3x)
- 10/100Base-TX compliant
- PCI bus master data transfer capability
- Two large (2Kbyte) independent receive and transmit FIFOs
- Descriptor-based buffer management
- LED indicators for various network activity monitoring
MEDIATOR bus-boards are at present the only PCI solution for
Amiga computers with the exclusive support for:
- TV cards,
- Sound cards, and
- Fast Ethernet PCI cards.
