CeBIT 2003: promised screenshots arrived
As Martin Heine promised in his last report
he has now real screenshots of Ambient, the settings (Prefs), Win95 and Word made available. You can find these screenshots following the title link.
Martin Heine, right now at the Genesi booth at the CeBIT 2003:
"Besides, I measured the time Win95 and Word needed here on our G3/600. I have to note that I don't know whether this setup here of the CeBIT computers can be optimized any further or not as I myself don't have any experiences with Bochs yet. Nevertheless I stopped the following times:
Initialisation until the first text output (what's displayed after switching on a PC: BIOS, units, "Windows is being loaded"): 45 seconds.
Launching Windows until it is loaded: 1 minute 20.
Launching Word until it is ready to use: 20 seconds."
