Apple: Specifications of the new models with PPC970 CPU
Several news services (such as OSNews)
reported that today the official online-shop of Apple
has announced the exact specifications of the new computer models of Apple.
This might have been a mistake because meanwhile the new models have been deleted from
the website.
Here are the exact specifications:
- 1.6 GHz, 1.8 GHz, or Dual-2 GHz PPC-G5 CPU
- Upto 1 GHz CPU Bus
- Maximal 8 GB DDR SDRAM
- Fast Serial ATA
- AGP 8x Pro (ATI/Nvidia)
- 3 USB 2.0 Ports
- 3 PCI or PCI-X slots
- One FireWire 800 Port, two FireWire 400 Ports
- Bluetooth & Airport Extreme ready
- Optical and analog audio in and out
The new Macintosh-models will be probably introduced by Apple on a conference in San
Francisco which will take place on Monday. At the same time this conference will be
shown via satellite in Berlin for invited press members.
