AmigaOS4: Driver for Silicon Image SiI3112A finished (Serial ATA)
According to Amigaworld.net Max Tretene (Soft3) and Libero Moschella (AT) have created an OS4 hard drive driver for PCI cards which are based on a Silicon Image SiI3112A-Chip. By this the use of Serial-ATA hard drives is possible.

Some features of SATA:
  • 150 MByte/s maximum transfer rate
  • Connection online possible
  • Partly and full power save modus
  • Seven line cable, plug only 8 mm wide (picture)
  • Tagged command queuing (like at SCSI)
  • Overlapping commands (drive can respond more than one command)
