MorphOS: Picture viewer Showgirls 0.8
ShowGirls" is a picture viewer written by Michal 'kiero' Wozniak which has some editing
functions and some features of the programs "MiniShowPicture" and "ShowPPC" (screenshots).
Changes in the new version:
- FIXED: When changing to/from fullscreen with other windows opened they are moved to front.
- FIXED: Various small bugs and invalid memory acceses.
- FIXED: Crashes when switching images with asynchronous refresh enabled.
- FIXED: Sometimes rightmost column on thumbnail had wrong color.
- FIXED: Memory leak when checking saved JPEG quality.
- NEW: Loading of CMYK JPEGs.
- NEW: Possibility to disable color subsampling in JPEG saver. Results in better color quality (not 'washed out') in some cases.
- NEW: Selective gaussian filter. Usefull for noise removal.
- NEW: Glow filter.
- NEW: Straighten tool. Helps to correct rotated scans or pictures.
- NEW: Manual marking of cropped area.
- NEW: Thumbnails view uses directory icons if possible.
- NEW: File management functions can be executed on multiple files at once (multiselection).
- NEW: More keyboard shortcuts added to menu items.
- NEW: Image rotation also possible using numeric keyboard (keys 7 and 9).
- NEW: When changing browser mode currently selected file is remembered.
- NEW: In thumbnails view, selected thumbs are highlighted.
- NEW: 'Delayed scanning' option. Starts thumbnails generation only after browser is enabled.
- NEW: Display of EXIF tags from JPEG images.
- NEW: Automatic rotation of pictures with vertical orientation (if camera supports it and writes needed info).
- NEW: 3D View (3DVIEW tooltype or command param). Just useless eyecandy for now :) (Screenshot)
- NEW: Background/Shadow color adjustment for display area.
- NEW: Save function (in addition to Save As).
- NEW: In thumbnailer module size of resulting thumbnail can be specified.
- NEW: Undo. For now just simple one level one. Was that or no release for xmess.
- NEW: ARexx interface
- Updated libz and libpng to current versions.
- Faster text inserting routine.
- Rotation routines much faster (up to 300%) for bigger images.
- String gadget with numeric values can be controlled using mouse wheel (MUI4).
- Speedup to various parts of the code.
