AmigaOS 4: Scripts for Streaming and videos
George 'walkero' Sokianos writes: If you use to watch your beloved Amiga and Retro streamers on or, but you do that on your PC, and that doesn't feel authentic, don't worry any more. There is aiostreams to help you watch them on the Workbench of your AmigaOS 4 system.

aiostreams is a package of Python scripts that help you watch live or recorded streams from many online video platforms. At least, that's what it wishes to be. Right now and are supported, but there are plans for more to be added in the future.

aiostreams runs from the shell. If you know the channel URL you want to watch, you just have to use it as a parameter beside the script of the equivalent network.

Unfortunately, the above websites are not rendering right on any of our browsers, and finding available streams is a difficult task. No, you don't have to start your windows machine to do that. Just use the search capabilities of the scripts, see the top games or the top streams and choose what you are going to watch. You can even list the available recorded videos of a channel.

All these are well documented in an AmigaGuide file inside aiostreams package. Each script has helpful documentation right into the shell. Please, read it before you start using any of the scripts.

Versions for MorphOS, AROS and AmigaOS 3.x are in my todo list as well. aiostreams can be found at the title link and at my personal GitHub. If you have any requests or you would like to report any problems you have found, you can do that at: You can find the todo list and the status of them at
